Some really interesting vegan options here - Edit

This has relocated and is now half a store and half a cafe.

My interactions with staff have been mixed, as they don't always seem to know what is vegan and what isn't when asked. However I believe their menu has undergone due diligence in their head office, therefore you should be able to trust the labelling on the menu when ordering.

They have some really interesting vegan options here including the Beyond Burger which is a delicious vegan meat patty, and two dishes with JUST Scramble (all day breakfash and Teriyaki bowl). I was so excited to be able to try JUST Scramble which is an egg alternative made out of mung beans and found it had a light and fluffy texture with delicate flavour. Although I found the beans to be a bit cold...

Price of cooked food seems ok to me.

Will come back to try more vegan dishes.

It is heavy on the mock meats selection, so not a place to visit if you're looking for salad.

green common - wan chai - Edit

The original shop has moved to QRE Plaza. It's shrunk, and half of it is now a cafe.

I've tried the Hainan Runaway Chicken (hkd75) and the Good Pho You (hkd79). There's a $10 daytime promotion going on, but even with that it's pricey. Both dishes were Western-style mock meat heavy, using Gardein and Beyond products.

When I was there yesterday around 2+, after the lunch crowd had left, there were more service crew than diners. Within the customer seating area, two staff members were resting their heads on the tables; another two were sitting and using their phones. I know that staff need breaks, but the set-up just seemed unprofessional.

One lady who was more enthusiastic about her job was the store promoter, who took the initiative to walk over to the cafe to offer me and customers at another table try product samples. However, she wasn't sure if the crisps were vegan or vegetarian, and I had to read the ingredients before trying a piece.

Green Common - Wan Chai, Hong Kong - Edit

I went here expecting great things going by the amount of anti dairy material they have on their website. It was thus disappointing to find that they have products made with dairy. the high prices make this place unsuitable for anyone on a tight budget.

They partner with the Hong Kong horse racing industry.

Cons: Partner of the Hong Kong horse racing industry, Expensive, Actions don't back up their slick marketing

Horrible service - Edit

We dropped into the Landmark store for lunch.. there was a dish that was not marked as "vegan" but the staff confirmed it was.. so we ordered it.
After leaving the store, we did a bit of research and after receiving an email from the Green Common head office, it was confirmed the dish we ordered was NOT vegan.
I hope the Green Common office will invest more in training their staff to understand their products, and how they communicate this to their vegan customers.
This place isn't cheap .. and until they improve their customer service, i'd stay away..

Cons: expensive , poor customer service
