Good place for lunch - Edit
We went here for lunch twice.
The service was friendly and the food was good - nothing out of the ordinary, but with not that many other options it is a good place to grab a bite.

Good Cafe - Edit
They have a good selection for vegetarians and enough vegan options.
We had nice houmous sandwiches, salads, burgers in buns, chocolate cake, prune cake and good coffee, all vegan.
Its not that cheap but is good quality, and everything in central marseille is not cheap. There weren't many other vegan places to choose from.
We went there 3 or 4 times during our stay and it was good every time. There is another branch as well we visited in Marseille and it was also good.
Pros: clean, tasty, good staff
Cons: mid to expensive

Nice place, fast and friendly service - Edit
I was lucky enough during my visit to Marseille to be staying in the building right next to Green Bear on rue Glandevès. I went there for lunch twice and was quite happy with it both times. Although it's vegetarian, they had some very decent vegan options both times I went, including more than one option for the main dish and dessert.
The place seems geared toward people looking for a fast and efficient lunch option, so you receive your dishes in to-go containers even if you're dining in. One of the dishes I had was a tajine, and it would have been nicer to eat it from a ceramic plate rather than a cardboard box (but who knows, perhaps I could have had a plate if I had known to ask). There was a choice of disposable wooden forks, knives and spoons and traditional metal ones. But the place is cozy enough, with pillows on the banquette seating and a rack of newspapers, that you feel welcome to linger if you have the time.
I really appreciated the friendliness and politeness of the staff, too.
I'm happy that there's a veggie place so close to the Vieux Port. Overall, I highly recommend it.
Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, good location

Good choice - Edit
Little and cosy restaurant.
If you are vegan, you should go early because the vegan dishes sell out fast.
Pros: price, ambiance
Cons: Little stock

Excellent place for lunch - Edit
We visited this cafe in September 2012 and had a really tasty lunch composed of home made veg torte and French apple pie, washed down by a lovely bottled beer. Very informal and friendly atmosphere, seating inside and outside and with reasonable prices. Gets busy at lunchtime with local workers. Highly recommended.
Pros: Quality and freshness of food, Not expensive, English-speaking

Wonderful lunch/snack option - Edit
A non-veg friend and I went to grab a late lunch at Green Bear and they had so many wonderful options for both of us! We each had a delicious, not too pricey meal and the setting was a cute little cafe. Would highly recommend for lunch, coffee, or a snack.
Pros: Great vegan and vegetarian options, delicious food
