Long wait/overpriced - Edit
Wanted to love it,but was disappointed 😔 Took 30 minutes just to get two coffees that had little taste. The potions are small and prices are high. Doesn’t compare to other veg options nearby.

I loved this sweet Marsielle Cafe - Edit
So the girl who took my order was adorable and helped me so much. To the right of where you order there are little brown boxes that are labeled on the tag and have a V, GF, and something else. If it’s ❌’d out it means it’s not that. There were several vegan options & they have soy milk for the lattes as well (if they had oat milk this place would be even better). I loved the way it looked & it seemed to be pretty eco friendly & no plastic spoons or anything. I think people usually grab a box & go but I stayed and ate there. They don’t have the same stuff you see on happy cow because it changes depending on the local vegetables. I got this carrot mixture that had cauliflower & tahini. It was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Marsielle. It wasn’t a huge portion or anything but it was a very fair price for the size. I also got a 3€ pudding granola (it wasn’t that good it tasted like apple sauce but I’m still rating this place high because the overall experience was great). Thanks green bear y’all are cute.

Good enough - Edit
Got to this place a little
Read morelate for breakfast and a little too early for lunch (so they weren’t serving it yet). But they have readily available cold salads with several vegan options. I had a falafel salad, it was pretty tasty. Nothing wow, but I was incredibly hungry so I was thankful they had anything vegan.

Great mixed cafe - Edit
I had the vegan burger, the vegan chia see pudding and a piece of vegan matcha cranberry cake. The burger was really good!! It had a tasty sauce and some sauerkraut or something like that. Very delicious. Cake and pudding were good as well, nothing out of this world but it was good. The vegan options were labeled but I asked to double check that the V indeed meant vegan. Should be all vegan cafe but alas. Still, I’d recommend for lunch. Also they use wooden utensils.

great cafe for easy snack or lunch. - Edit
A very nice, relaxed cafe offering plenty of vegan options (all labeled). Everything is in eco-friendly paper boxes, the place is very open, light and sunny, staff is friendly, they have healthy options, and above all very yummy food. I had tried cakes, cookie, coffee, sandwich, burger, and salas (here and in their other shop) and it was all great. This one is definitely bigger and sunnier.

Best vegan lunches in Marseille - Edit
The Green Bear Coffee is my all time favourite for vegan lunch in Marseille.
Read moreMenu changes everyday (everyday you have a soup, a quiche and something a bit more cooked like couscous or moussaka, etc.). Then you have a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads... It is not always vegan but everything is indicated. Good coffeshop for those who eat gluten/lactose free. Desserts and juices are good !
And the staff at this particular Green Bear Coffee (Préfecture - Peytral) is very friendly :-)
Pros: Organic food, a lot of vegan choices !, Taste so good !, Nice staff

A nice spot - Edit
I usually stop by a veg coffee when I visit a new place. After 10 days in Marseille I started to reconsider my custom ordering to my lack of time left until I walked into the Green Bear Coffee located in the Prefecture area. The spot is really nice if you just visited the Cantini gallery or if you're willing to hang around with no particular goal. :)
Read moreAnd it worths it ! :) the food is really tasty, it was comfortable as I sat in one of the comfy sofas and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Maybe this is a little bit expensive, okay, but it wasn't really much considering that all is organic and mainly local with a real wish to recycle and be eco responsible.
Must be really nice to see the evolution of the menu through the seasons! :)
Pros: Tasty food!, Very friendly staff, Organic and eager to follow the seasons
Cons: A little bit expensive
