Healthy options and fast service

The republic road location was my favorite but the one on Battlefield is fine. I like their “naked”‘taco option or the avocado which are healthy and they do have plant based protein which I appreciate being in Springfield. My children like it here and can also get a vegan taco which is hard for them to find. We have also had them cater to our clinics before and they were professional and accommodating to our dietary restrictions. They are fast and reasonably priced.

Pros: Some veg options , Fast service , Reasonably priced

Cons: Several meat items on menu, Would like to see vegan cheese

The food wasn't too great

This place is very Americanized, so just keep that in mind.

We came here with high hopes. A midwestern taco restaurant with a really interesting, somewhat hipster (in a southern twist) vibe and vegan options... Service was very friendly and the place was inviting, in general, but the food wasn't all that exciting.

We started with chips, guacamole and salsa. Our waitress let us sample all of the different types of salsa, which was nice. Most of the salsas were more mild and sweet, but their "fire" salsa was spicy, but not hotter than I've had at authentic Mexican taco places. The chips were fine, not remarkable, but the guacamole was very bland. The guac had just as much tomato as avocado, so that was disappointing.

The stuffed avocado vegan "taco" was misleading and disappointing. I expected the toppings to be in some sort of actual stuffed avocado or maybe avocado halves, but this was nothing like what I received. The plate was a random mashup of corn, avocado chunks and peppers on a bed of spinach with just a few beans tossed in. Definitely not a stuffed avocado and it didn't feel like a taco at all. I would have at least liked some more beans for protein/texture. It was a fairly bland vegan option.

Again, service was friendly and the atmosphere seemed nice, but the food just wasn't all that great.

Pros: Atmosphere, good service

Cons: Food wasn't great, very Americanized, menu somewhat misleading
