Permanently Closed

This restaurant location is permanently closed. Only the one on College Street Remains.

Pros: Was a good little spot

Cons: It has closed its doors.

Amazing fries

Enjoyed my meal here. But If I’m honest, not the best unchicken sandwich I’ve had. The fries were incredible. Had a few bites of my friend’s salad and the dressing was so flavorful.

Getting our food took quite awhile considering we were the only people in the restaurant. Also our server was a bit short with us and bordering on rude at times (like when we asked to split the bill, or when I needed a bit of help figuring out the payment device). Additionally I was served the wrong dish, but was too put off by how long it took as well as the vibes of our server, that I was afraid to mention it.

Pros: Nice variety of choices

Cons: Not the nicest wait staff , A bit overpriced

What happened?

I think this grasshopper location needs an updated review. If you're expecting your old favourites they're gone. They're replaced with expensive experiments that don't really make sense. And most likely if you find a new favourite it won't be there next week. It's all pretty erratic. Between all the menu changes and it always being empty (I live in the area and always peak in) I wouldn't be surprised if it was closing.
All that being said, I'm a huge fan of the original concept and will go out of my way to the College St. location for the old school menu and great service. I still plan to try the beaches location.

Cons: The menu

A great meal, for a price

Went here with family on a whim, and was rather pleasantly surprised. It's not that small but not huge either; seats about 20 probably, and it can get busy. We shared the stuffed mushrooms, fries and haru salad, all of which were delectable in their own way (especially the salad). I sampled the Japanese curry, which was very authentic, and had the pulled pork burger with a root vegetable soup as a side. Both were really good; the only minor critique would be whatever they used for meat didn't pull apart nearly as easily as I would've liked! The menu is partly different from their other location, but for some reasons the items which are the same are more expensive here, by anywhere from one to a few dollars, which seems strange. Didn't see anything about ingredients being organic but they could be.

Pros: Very flavourful food, Lots of variety

Cons: Randomly more expensive than other branch

Great!

Very cute place, quite small though. Only a handful of tables. Food is amazing. The only thing I wish is that they didn't use sesame oil for their fries. It can be a bit much.

Pros: Amazing food

Cons: Small

expensive but nice local

It is a really small and cozy local. I think it is to expensive for that small meals. It is really modern and healthy food. It is OK to go there once.

Pros: vegan

Cons: expensive, small meals

Great resto

We've been here a few times and really like it. Food is good and if you are lucky, you can snag some fabulous vegan donuts from Beechwood Doughnuts on Fridays.
