heathy eating - Edit

run by joey and his partner,Grao da Terra is a much needed restaurant in paraty.
A limited food menu and is not a buffet, but the food they do serve is great! A massive selection of fresh juice and they make a mean organic caiparinha.
Two daily specials add to the small menu. I went four time and was only slightly let down once when they didn't have one dish I wanted.
It's not far from the old town, and just ignore the building numbers as they don't follow any patter in paraty.

Pros: clean, good staff, tasty and heathy;

Cons: limited menu, difficult to find.

Vegetarian with a Brazilian Twist - Edit

Although some of the other restaurants in Paraty offer vegetarian dishes this is the only one 100% dedicated to vegetarian cuisine. Great food, using lots of local ingredients like palm hearts, kale, chuchu - and juices with acai, acerola and pitanga - making it a truly Brazilian experience. On the days we went there were 02 dishes of the day to choose from - I had courgette lasagne and on other day a delicious cabbage quiche. My mum, who claims to 'hate vegetables', loved it. No better recommendation than that!

Pros: Excellent food, English speaking, Local ingredients

Cons: Huge juice menu makes choosing difficult
