One Good Vegan Option

The Grand View has updated its menu to include two vegan options: Buddha Bowl and Miso Ramen Bowl.

Buddha Bowl: Tri colour quinoa salad with edamame, avocado, spiced pickled pineapple, cucumber, green papaya slaw, baby corn, lettuce mix, cashews, sesame seeds, satay sauce (and sometimes sweet potato fries).

Miso Ramen Bowl: Ramen noodles, shiitake mushrooms, baby corn, kale, beansprout salad, and spring onions.

The good news: the Buddha Bowl is perfect. It’s flavourful and has a great assortment of veggies and fruit. It’s really great to have this yummy vegan option in a small town.

The bad news: both bowls cost $18 WITHOUT tofu. And if you want a few tiny slices of tofu included? It’s an extra $4 for the Buddha Bowl and an extra $5 for the Miso Bowl (even though it’s the same pathetic amount of tofu on both dishes). Also please note: the Miso Bowl has no flavour AT ALL. Neither my partner nor I could finish it and felt it was a disappointing waste of money.

Fantastic!!!

Under new management and Pete was brilliant from start to finish! The hotel was just beautiful, with gorgeous trees and fairy lights outside to dine under. The service was honestly some of the best I have ever seen. And the Buddha Bowl - definitely one of the best I have had. Super filling! I could not finish it. Great value for money. Thanks guys 😊👌

Pros: Great value for money, Atmosphere and decor , Service was just brilliant

Cons: More variety of teas available, More vegan options
