Lovely breakfast - Edit
Owner understands vegan, just make sure the server understands.
Read moreThree options for breakfast:
IDLI
BATATA POHA (flatten rice flakes)
MASALA DOSA (potato stuffed) - just make sure they don't use ghee to fry it.
Dinner we had a Thali. Very filling and tasty. They offered more rice but we were full.
Pros: No plastic. Stainless jug and cups , Filtered water free., Inside with good fan

Great place - Edit
Food was delicious. Dishes were cheap (40-70rupees) and Thali sets are 200 and/or 250 rupees. The owner is a gentleman and gives some nice local tips around the area if you ask. Would recommend coming here for at least one meal! He knows what vegans are and is accomodating!

Incredible - Edit
Where to start? Firstly, the food is absolutely delicious. Every night is a new curry (I came here for 5 nights and every one was so good). I’m very limited in what I can eat, no rice, gluten or chickpeas, as well as vegan, but this was no problem for Manish, making sure that I could eat something and even creating special meals just for my dietary requirements. My friend was able to try everything and LOVED everything (masala dosa, thali and puris) cannot recommend this place enough. The owner is just the kindest man ever, great banter and a good heart. Really really recommend!!

Just Opened in Fort Kochi - Edit
When I was in Fort Kochi a couple of weeks ago, they were still working on this place. When I came back yesterday, it was opening day. This is the only vegetarian restaurant I know of on the northern part of the island. There are a few in the area around Jewtown (honest, that's what it's called, I'm Jewish) but they didn't look clean to me. This place is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The menu is simple. The only real 'meal' you can order is a thali for 150 Rupees, or the special thali for 200 Rupees. I had the thali. It was a perfectly good vegetarian thali. It came with rice, chapati, four thali dishes, and spiced buttermilk. The staff are very friendly and speak English. The meal was good, like most of these places, they will pile more food on your plate. You definitely won't go away hungry. If you're a vegetarian visiting Fort Kochi, this is where you want to go (unless you want to leave the island).
