Loved this place - Edit
The events were so fun, and unique. I got to try all sorts of fun food without having to worry about whether it was vegan or not. In many ways this was my dream dinning situation. Also the events were very reasonably priced especially considering the amount of detail, care love and effort that clearly went into making them happen. I will miss this place a lot and crossing my fingers they can find some way to bring something back.

We both had the Grandmas plate, so we could sample lots of sides and dishes. Pulled “pork” Sammy was delicious, esp the bbq sauce flavor. New York dog was impossible brand, good hot dog.

Best Restaurant Around - Edit
Grandma’s Kitchen is an essential visit for the twin tiers area, vegan or not. Mike and Casey are the kindest people, and they make amazing food and provide a wonderful experience for every visitor. Haven’t tried anything on the meu I haven’t liked, and their events are always so fun and affordable! Can’t give this family restaurant enough praise, they’ve earned everything they have from their will and determination to provide delicious vegan food to the community.

An essential detour - Edit
If you’re an elmira native or just traveling by the Arnot Mall on I-86 Grandma’s is worth the stop. Just follow signs to “Shopping Mall” and you’ll find yourself outside! Grandmas is setup in the old friendly’s in the corner of the food court and the moment you step in you’ll notice that you’re in a magic place. The care that is put into the food is second to none in the area. Its simply the best.

Delicious Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
Yum! I had a ‘chicken’ salad sandwich made with Mayo & grapes on toasted bread and a cup of creamy carrot soup. I had a sugar cookie & chocolate cookie for my sweet treats. Everything was delicious. The whole restaurant is vegan, which is always such a relief when ordering. Small family feel, fresh & colorful. Definitely recommend!

Outstanding vegan food in Watkins Glen! - Edit
This was an excellent stop after hiking at Watkins Glen State Park! Casey was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food was so delicious! We loved everything we ordered, but highlights were the broccoli cheese soup, macaroni and cheese, and the blueberry peach bar! This is a must visit if you are in the area!

Whenever I want to think that vegan options just aren’t realistic in smaller cities in rural areas, I think of Grandma’s Kitchen and am reminded that delicious vegan food is possible even in a small town like Montour Falls. This place is charming and has delicious vegan comfort food, for example a flight of vegan mac and cheese, plus delicious baked goods. The love is evident at Grandma’s Kitchen, and I hope to be back by again soon!

Finally Amazing Vegan Food near Farm Sanctuary! - Edit
We come several times a year to Watkins Glen to visit Farm Sanctuary and always find a few vegan options around town, but we’ve always wished there was a great vegan restaurant nearby. Now there is! We were staying in a tiny house at Farm Sanctuary and we wrote to Casey and Mike and they prepared a whole weekend of meals and desserts for us! We tried the shepherds pie, Mac and cheese, chicken salad, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, quiche….so much food! We loved everything. The quiche was the best vegan quiche we’ve had anywhere. The cinnamon rolls were perfectly gooey. The shepherds pie was super hearty with creamy mashed potatoes. Pleas everyone go and support Grandma’s Kitchen and spread the word so that we’ll have this amazing option for vegan residents and visitors for years to come!

The food was amazing! The owners are super friendly! So many choices and all very reasonably priced. Love the wall of kindness! A very welcome addition to the Finger Lakes wine trail! Pretty waterfall a few blocks away.

Loved our visit to Grandma’s Kitchen. We saw the dessert case as soon as we walked in, which was stocked with so many treats it was hard to decide what to get! We ended up getting the flourless tart chocolate chip cookie. (Both were great!) For lunch my boyfriend and I tried a few different dishes but our favorite was probably the shepherd’s pie. So great to have another 100% vegan place in the Fingerlakes area!

On a roll with casserole - Edit
Part of me wonders if I'm being too hasty to leave this review since they just opened, but I can't not talk about this Breakfast Casserole. It was so freaking delicious and left me wanting more. I'm excited for an all-vegan spot in the area and even more so now that I know this egg-cheese-sausage casserole is just around the corner. It came with some deliciously seasoned hash-browns and a mixed greens/arugula salad. I also tried the banana nut muffin and it is exactly what you're looking for if you're a fan of anything banana bread related. I got mine to-go, but I saw others enjoying the casserole at one of the tables inside. They too boasted how delicious it was as I was placing my order. Can't wait to try more!
