I’d rate it 5 stars if I could (I’m just learning now that you can’t leave 5 stars unless it’s a fully vegan/vegetarian restaurant). Anyways we got the waffle breakfast sandwiches, chili baked potato, mac n cheese with breaded chicken and peppermint shake. The food and customer service was great, we will definitely be back! It was so good I only got one picture.

I love that they had multiple vegan cheese options for the delicious omelette I had, that their seasonal offerings (a pumpkin dessert waffle!) are veganized with in-house made toppings, and that the food was quick, fresh, and tasted amazing!

This was my husband’s and I's first time visiting this restaurant and we were blown away. There are so many amazing vegan options to choose from, both sweet and savory. I ordered the breaded chicken baked potato and he got the chicken Mac & cheese. But the real stars of the shows were the dessert waffles. I ordered the s’more’s dessert waffle & he ordered the Cookie Monster dessert waffle. Both were incredible. The vegan marshmallows were perfection!

One of them chatted with us for a bit, talking about how he started serving vegan food and how diligent he is about making sure every single little thing in the vegan dishes are truly vegan. He even warned me that the root beer had honey when I was going to order it. Incredible food, incredible owners. We will definitely be back!!

This place felt a bit out of the way in an industrial shopping center. There are a ton of sweet and savory vegan options that are clearly marked, as well as 3 vegan ice cream options. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken did feel like it it came out of a box in the freezer. The waffles were sweet, and totally adequate. It wasn't an overly filling meal. We also got the veggie wrap, which had a lot more flavor. The vegan vanilla bean ice cream was quite good, but the person at the cash register was very confused by my request for a vegan waffle cone, which is listed on the menu.

This place is fantastic for having so many vegan options! If you're not sure, just ask. Although it's called Grandma's Ice Cream and Waffles, I didn't see grandma, ha ha. It is a family operation for sure.
Read moreThe menu is extensive for what appears to be an ice cream shop. They have 2-3 vegan soft serve options when you are there, so, you will not be feeling left out. They have vegan waffles, vegan waffle bowls and vegan cones, so, again, you don't feel left out. The milkshakes sound amazing, but I couldn't stomach the price tag and would rather eat a waffle bowl sundae or freshly made waffle with soft serve, so, it didn't really affect my experience.
The food is made to order, and if you are veg*n and can't stand non-veg*n food cooking, be warned you will detect it as foods that are non-veg*n are cooked/ fried when folks order it. However, the predominant smell is ice cream and waffles, so, it's not too bad - just sit further from the cooking/ kitchen (open) area or take your delights to go.
Loaded baked potatoes and Mac and cheese are just some of the vegan food options, along with wraps like just eggs and breaded chik'n. They have loaded fries, too, if you'd rather have that instead of a loaded baked potato, so, you will not feel like you didn't have options here! Chili loaded baked potato or fries, broccoli and cheese toppings, yum yum yum.
I didn't try the savory foods, but, I'll be back. A great little treasure in the Rockville area!

Dropped by this place while in Rockville. It's located in an industrial park, but it's worth searching for. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to worry about dining-in.

But what really impresses is that they don't just give you vegan food—they make sure you have the whole experience. Too often, places with ‘vegan options’ leave out the good stuff, like vegan cheese or whipped cream, so you’re stuck with a bare-bones version of a meal. Not here. They go all out to make sure vegans aren’t getting anything less than anyone else, and that effort really deserves support.
Aside from all this, the biggest plus is the woman who operates it—she's just an amazing individual. All the best to her with all the success she deserves!

This shop is so vegan supportive, they have vegan versions of almost every menu item--and if you are ordering vegan they filter the sauces and add ons so you only get offered the vegan ones. The waffles are a little on the sweet side for me. I really enjoy the chikn tenders and mac n cheese.

I opted for the peaches & cream waffles, and let me tell you, they were absolutely delicious! Even though I was already feeling quite full when I arrived, somehow I managed to finish every last bite (with a little assistance from my boyfriend, of course). And it wasn't just me who enjoyed it—my omnivore boyfriend also agreed that the soft serve was delightful. I'm already looking forward to returning to sample more of their offerings. With plenty of vegan options on the menu, including vegan mac n cheese and chicken & waffles, there's no shortage of tempting choices. Plus, I have to give a shoutout to the cashier and chef—they were both incredibly sweet and helpful. Count me in for another visit!

There are so many vegan options and it is clear that the owner, Stan, cares deeply about providing the best vegan products possible. The vegan chicken and waffles were amazing- the best vegan chicken tenders I’ve ever had, and a crispy, sweet waffle. Stan and grandma are so lovely and welcoming! My friends enjoyed the non-vegan Mac and cheese as well.

We were on a road trip and needed a bite to eat. I’d heard of this and decided to give it a try. Lots of vegan options (pretty much one for every non-vegan option) and my son had a nice talk with Grandma (namesake). It’s very unfortunate that you can’t leave a five star review, because this was somewhere we will go out of our way (40 minutes away from home) to return to!

I got the peaches & cream waffles and it was so good! I was actually full when I went here, but was somehow able to finish it (with a little help from my boyfriend). My omni-boyfriend agreed that the soft serve was yummy ^^. I really want to come back and try their other items. Their menu has plenty of vegan options - including vegan mac n cheese and chicken & waffle. The cashier and chef were very sweet and helpful. I'll be back!!!

We arrived at opening on a Sunday and received a friendly greeting. We ordered right away and food was brought to our table within 10 minutes. I had the vegan waffle sandwich with egg patty and cheese. It was delicious. My parents, who eat meat, enjoyed their chicken and waffles. There is some humming machinery and a television, so this with noise sensitivity should be forewarned if you plan to eat inside.
