The hosts were very kind, friendly, helpful, thoughtful, and considerate. The service was great. The room, the house, the garden, and the surrounds were all beautiful. The food was delicious and plentiful. Graianfryn Guest House is above, and beyond expectations in every way. My fiancée and I really enjoyed our stay.
We came by bus and the description on the website led us straight to the house along a dirt road.
We were warmly welcomed and greatly enjoyed our stay. The road is close by but we slept peacefully.
Breakfast is very generous, with warm and cold vegan options. The overnight soaked muesli with berries and the ginger soaked dried fruits were very tasty!
Lovely, old fashioned B&B managed by an elderly couple.
Very friendly!
Tidy rooms.
The breakfast is amazing. Alan & Christine go out of their way to provide a filling vegan breakfast.
Unfortunately, the house is not 100% vegan (it is vegetarian), but the toiletries in the bathroom are vegan and if you mention that you are vegan, the hosts take it for granted that you will be offered only vegan food and vegan milk :)
Info: They are not longer serving dinner. Breakfast and packed lunched only.
Dinner options can be found in the area.
I really like the green issues in the house:
Recycling, food waste goes to the compost or wormery, growing vegetables, photovoltaic panels and a lot more.
I gladly recommend Graianfryn Vegetarian Guest House!
A fantastic veggie B&B in a lovely 19th Century property just up the road from Snowden. The couple who run the place are very friendly and welcoming. As well as very yummy breakfasts they offer delicious vegan friendly dinners and even packed lunches to take on your adventures around Snowdonia and the Llŷn. Definitely recommended!
The room was comfortable and cosy, there were plenty of books and board games in the living room, and the food (all vegan, although vegetarians are also catered for) was incredible: imaginative, varied, filling and very tasty.
Christine and Alan were great hosts and gave good suggestions on local attractions and travel (we got around by public transport).
It was also great to stay somewhere so environmentally aware: from the toiletries in the bathroom to the solar panels, as well as their use of local, organic (and homegrown) vegetables.
We've stayed here once, and would love to return. The decor is slightly dated, however, it's very cosy and homely. There were vegan friendly products in the bathroom. I discussed our likes and dislikes and dietary requirements before arrival, and pre booked our dinners. There was a total of 5 of us in our group, and for meals, they made huge portions of everything, and we helped ourselves to however much we wanted, and we we very well fed! Breakfast was also incredible, with endless choice of cooked breakfast, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc. We also booked packed lunches to take out to the activities we did during the day-much nicer than some of the options we might have found at some of the non-veggie cafes.
