Read moreThey have just launched a new tofu menu with loads of different options such a treat when it’s been so hard to find good tofu elsewhere! I tried the spicy tofu and the teriyaki tofu, both made with their homemade tofu, and they were seriously delicious. Washed down with a super fresh watermelon juice.
Plenty of options for vegans, really fair prices, and everything tasted amazing. So good to finally find a spot doing tofu this well highly recommend!

So you’ve got this spot—right where the harbour meets the mountains, views that’ll make you just stop and breathe. Honestly, whether you’re vegan or not, it’s kind of a sweet little haven.
Read moreIt gets busy around lunch, but in a good way—like, "everyone’s in on the secret" busy. You can chill inside with fans keeping things cool, or grab a seat outside if you want to soak up the air. Oh, and it’s connected to the dessert cafe next door, so… you know, options.
The folks running it? Lovely Koreans and locals, proper warm energy. I went for a poke bowl, but hey—island life, right? Stock comes and goes. Fresh tofu wasn’t landing until Saturday, but the kind lady there sorted me with a spicy tofu and rice dish that hit the spot. They’ve got a decent range of tofu-based vegan dishes and a whole range of other vegan options too!
And yes—clean toilet, hand-wash spot. Small thing, but it matters as I didn’t spot any others in downtown Savusavu!
Also top tip: It's only a five-minute stroll from the bus and taxi stand, and just around the corner from the local geothermal hot spring.

We loved the food! Would have liked to give 5 stars but was not an option for happy cow because the restaurant also serves meat. We loved the vegan poke bowl, veggies with noodles, pad tai veggies and the waffles❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Best Veg Friendly Restaurant on the Island - Edit
Grace Road Kitchen is the only modern, pristine, organic, veg friendly place in Savusavu! The cafe is beautiful, with fresh veg and fruits from their organic gardens also on sale. Staples almost always in stock and looking gorgeous are eggplant/aubergine, bok choy, peppers, lettuce, and sometimes herbs and passion fruit. Everything is perfectly clean, and you can see the kitchen staff working to put together the made-to-order dishes. The veg highlights are bibimbap (vegan without egg), stir fried noodles, fried rice, vegetable soup, and they have a delicious pumpkin smoothie that can be made vegan with coconut milk instead of dairy milk (the vegan version is called "the Dr. Murray"). The owner Andy and the staff are super sweet and remember your orders and treat you like a friend coming to lunch. There is seating outside with a beautiful view of the harbor and Nawi Island, or indoor seating under the blissful air conditioning. They also have an ice cream shop attached and the specialty grocer with a great selection of gluten free, organic, and vegan items is next door (Sea Lovers) so this building is a fantastic one stop shop unlike anything else on Vanua Levu.
