An experience, interesting food and service - Edit
It's situated close to a pool in a shopping mall. We walked in and out to start with as there were no staff.
Read moreWhen we returned another pair had just arrived. A long wait and a wander to get a menu. The food wasn't unpleasant but some was strange (Govindas salad, koftas, sweet potato fries). The pitta bread was lovely and falafel plentiful and tasty. Water with no glasses, took a long time to be able to pay even though very few customers.
We had fun and learned a bit about Hare Krishna, but it wasn't the best food.
Didn't try desserts.
Pros: Obvs good it doesnt serve meat, Menu is quite varied
Cons: Service, Food

Most delicious food! - Edit

Hare Krishna hare Krishna! - Edit
Good and healthy food, could be a little more spicy and flavored, especially since it's mostly Indian dishes, they were a little bland. But this could have to do with the religious part of the restaurant, it's Hare Krishna and I believe they avoid garlic and onion and hot spices. Which I was unaware of before coming. I don't really mind it, but my partner is very used to spicy, hot Indian food.
Read moreThe prices were reasonable for good sized portions.
I really liked that they had homemade healthy ice creams and raw cakes!
The staff was super friendly.
The aesthetics are, well, Hare Krishna.
I have to add that the fact that this is a Hare Krishna place, could have been added to the listing's information! I didn't know this before coming and it took me by surprise, though it's not a big deal. Still, I feel people should be informed.
Pros: portions, prices, Healthy food
Cons: A little difficult to find the location, Aesthetics , kind of bland taste (for those used to spice)

Uninspired and confused place with stale food - Edit
Staff was friendly but confused about the order and didn't bring the correct dishes. The dishes didn't come synchronously. And the salad was a huge disappointed since besides the green leaves and the tomatoes nothing was fresh but out of a can. Would not recommend going here

Best vegetarian vegan food in Tenerife - Edit
So pleased we tried this place, amazing vegan food (everything can be made vegan). It’s so hard to find vegan food in this part of Tenerife. it’s beside a holiday complex swimming pool. It’s not a fancy place and was very quiet the evening we went. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. We had veg pakoras, veg soup and lentil dhal soup. Then I had veg koftas (delicious) and my hubby had mash potatoes and seitan (again delicious). We’ll definitely be going back

Disappointed - Edit
This restaurant has Indian dishes and it's run by Hare Krishna people. The place is not too inviting, but the prices are good. The food was okay. We wouldn't recommend the vegetable pizza though.

We went there on a Wednesday evening. We were the only customers. The restaurant is also like a temple which was weird. The staff was very polite and welcomed us. They have an online menu and they also helped us with finding vegan options. The food was delicious and cheap! I really enjoyed it!!

Food was delicious and healthy - Edit
I visited twice with my family during our stay on Tenerife. The first time we arrived at 6:30 pm and were the only customers and the second time there were two other sets of customers. I loved the large choice of healthy vegan food and vegetarian food. The fries were the best I've tasted. Service was good. Everything was eaten as it was so tasty.

Amazing food cooked with love - Edit
A really nice, kind & friendly atmosphere with delicious food. The chefs cooked and served us spring rolls, vegetable samosas, fries, vegan & vegetarian pizzas, mixed salad and chickpea masala. All super fresh and cooked with love. A great place to eat and soak up the kindness of the staff. Definitely recommend a visit and we will be returning.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
Visited Govinda's in Tenerife and what a special place it is. Wasn't sure how easy it would be to find vegan food on the island, but we had so much to choose from here. We had 2 kinds of pizza with seitan skewers and fried aubergine, everything was really flavourful and tasty. There were even multiple vegan ice cream flavours, strawberry & chocolate are my recommendations! Lovely kind staff, definitely visit if you are in South Tenerife 🌱

Authentic and tasty - Edit
Vegetarian and vegan fusion restaurant serving Indian, burgers and pizzas amongst other things. The food was amazing, so tasty and the service was really friendly and helpful. Well worth a little explore to find it under the main bars and restaurants in the area. It was no problem for us but there was no alcohol served there just in case you’re desperate for a drink! Fantastic option in and around the hustle and bustle of the other more standard places around.

Govindas was a welcoming and warm friendly space. Do not judge what you see on entry as it is like nowhere else I have been. The restaurant is dedicated to Hare Krishna and the decor is a beautiful example of the religion.

Unexpected Pleasure - Edit
At first sight we believed to were in wrong place: humble location, only one waiter looking confused, small crumbling tables outside.
Read moreWhen we ordered, we understand why reviews were goods: food was amazing! We had as starters Vegetable Samosa and Sping Rolls, then as main courses Chala Masala (chickpeas cooked with cumin seeds & tomatoes in special masala) and Seitan Cutlets with Mashed Potatoes: fantastic tastes. We finished our dinner trying their desserts Carob Vegan Braunie (I loved it) and Vegan-Raw Cheesecake. Kitchen won against our doubts.

Delicious, fresh, tasty - Edit
We had a wonderful dinner at Govindas, the best meal of our holiday in Tenerife! The food was so fresh and full of flavour. Between a group of us, we ordered a selection of dishes and everything was so good. Lots of vegan dishes and everything else vegetarian, but meat eaters happy too, we would definitely recommend.
Read moreThe samosas were perfect, the pitta breads were so thick and fresh and went wonderfully with the hummus and the kofkas. Chana masala was perfect, and the kids in our group had a pizza which was lovely.
There were lots of desserts to choose from but unfortunately we didn't have time (or room!)
Thanks to Bruno for looking after us.
Pros: The food was full of flavour and freshly made, The staff were friendly and welcoming , The setting was lovely and quiet and clean
Cons: Just a shame it's a little hard to find.

A Vegetarian Delight in a Touristy Place - Edit
We went to Govinda's, which is a restaurant run by Krishna devotees. These restaurants are all independently owned around the world, but always serve delicious vegetarian/vegan spiritual food. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with Indian artwork, and the main attractions were Large Jagannath Deities originating in Orissa, India. Jagannath means Lord of the Universe, and these bigger than life Deities stole the show. Jagannath is Krishna, along with His Sister, Subadra, in the middle is Balaram, the Lord's brother.
Read moreAnyway, getting back to the food.. We had a lovely Govinda's salad, with strips of seitan tossed i;, a vegan lasagna, and a burger platter with seitan burgers served with mashed potatoes. The burgers were tasty, but in my opinion needed some type of gravy or sauce, as they were a bit dry. The mashed potatoes were great. We had two mojitos (virgin) and they were good but needed to be sweetened. The prices were fair and the service was wonderful. Good place to check out in Tenerife, Spain, Canary Island.
Pros: Good food, Decent prices, Nice Atmosphere
Cons: My plate needed more presentation, .no visual., The seitan burgers needed gravy or sauce.
