Tucked away behind The Hare Krishna Centre and opposite the Rondebosch railway station. They serve mainly vegan Indian-style meals with some lacto-vegetarian items available. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have a special Yoga and Supper deal starting at 6:30pm for R60 per person. For supper bookings, please phone 076 112 2915. NOTE: Food tends to run out fast, advised to get there before 3pm. Open Sat-Sun 9:30am-5:30pm.

reliable and tasty food in peaceful surroundings - Edit
Excellent value and very filling meal with quite a few vegan options although no vegan desserts on the day I attended apart from date balls.

I attended on Tuesday evening and did the yoga class at 6.30pm which was followed by a meal and really excellent value at around 70 rand.
The yoga teacher said they were now going to hold yoga classes three nights a week and will see how numbers go before adding the meal option after all evening classes.
Pros: good value , quite a few vegan options , large portions
Cons: no salad available on the evening I attended, really slow internet connection

Govinda's Natural Food Cafe offers delicious, satisfying vegan and veggies meals at very reasonable prices. We found the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the service personal and attentive. A great selection of reasonably priced veggie cookbooks are available for sale, too. Check out The Higher Taste: a treasure trove of useful recipes, together with a discussion of the benefits of vegetarianism according to the ancient Vedas. Our all-time favorite desert - what the Krishna's are famous for worldwide: yummy chickpea flour fudge.
