So many amazing options - Edit
Oh my goodness, this place is incredible! Everything I tried (and I tried a lot!) was out of this world. It’s so nice to be able to pick your portions and everything was perfectly seasoned. It was also super reasonably priced. I can’t believe what a good deal and quality! I will definitely be going back and sitting in one of their lovely outdoor tables!

Healthy lunch spot - Edit
Great to find so many local people from Mendoza found this restaurant to eat their lunch. We were happy to join them in line at the vegan buffet. Both ate a nice plate full of veggies for only 8000 pesos.

Lots of food to choose from with a delicious vegan cheese in many dishes. A worker puts your food on a plate and you heat it up in a microwave. We enjoyed our dinner so much we came back for breakfast!

Govinda is a fully vegan buffet place with healthy food and deserts! It’s super easy to get good food here! I went here for lunch a few times in the short amount of time I spent in Mendoza. Also, it’s not expensive at all. #Veganuary

We ordered food from Govinda a couple of times while staying in Mendoza (they have a good delivery servicw) and the food was really fresh and delicious! The "asado de seitán" is really really good. It was a nice surprise!

Be happy they are open to serve Vegetarians in Mendoza - Edit
I wish I could like this place and almost always give high marks for vegetarian restaurants, but this place seems to treat their staff poorly and it shows in every way. They have vegan choices but are often not labeled (they have labels and if you go often you will see them on the appropriate items and learn). Over the years I have had to eat here as the other best choice in town is closed for personal well being (ya the food industry is hard). Many times I have seen the employees come and go. Very few, if any last. This is a chain and they make almost identical food at their other places. Lots of cheese and eggs. Often cheese in otherwise yummy looking salad greens... Years go by and nothing changes except the staff. Please people bring your own to go container and have them weigh it when they are not busy (or just take one and clean and repeat). Definitely a old stand by and deserves high marks for just existing in Argentina.

Lots of clearly labeled vegan options, with enough variety to try something different each time. The "spicy" things are not spicy at all to a non-Argentinian palette so I would recommend to not take those warnings seriously or expect any spice. I really liked the tomato sauce and trying the jugo de jengibre is a MUST.

Amazing buffet with tons of Vegan options - Edit
Amazing Vegetarian (no eggs) buffet with tons of clearly marked Vegan options consisting of everything from different kinds of seitan, to fake soya meat, to a whole bunch of local delicacies, risotto, tons of veggies and salads, sautéed vegetables etc. The buffet list is endless, and everything is very tasty. Highly recommended.

I love the food here. It’s all vegan and vegetarian, the options are balanced between both diets and are clearly labelled. There’s a variety of vegan food from Asian style noodles and veg, chimmichurri vegetables and empanadas! There’s salad also. You can eat in or take your food away. I wish there was a place like this in my hometown.

Lots and lots of choices and many vegan options. Everything is clean and mostly labelled. Microwaves provided for heating up food. It gets very busy so prepare to queue. Seating upstairs and downstairs.

Buffet style with vegan options clearly marked. I meant to try out the other buffets in town, but once I went to Govindas I just couldn't go anywhere else. Super cheap and heaps of delicious food, both Indian and Argentinean style (I felt a bit embarrassed by how high I had piled my plate...)

Good Food, Great Staff and location - Edit
This place is in a great location and has unbelievable variety of food, desserts, and pastries. You can eat here everyday and not exhaust all varieties even in a month! The servers are very helpful and will point out things for you, even if they don't speak much English. Its cheaper here to take food-to-go. Similarly, this is a great place to get food packed for trips to Santiago or Bariloche.
Read moreHowever, don't go here if you have been to traditional Govindas anywhere in the world that provides a thali meal. This Govindas is like the Govindas/Haris in Russia where they are purely a commercial establishment, funneling profits back to ISKCON. The spiritual environment including music is completely absent and so is any kind of Indian food - only the name is Indian!
Go with this understanding and you will enjoy the food.
