Dine in the historic building or in the garden or on the patio. Fantastic views. Can do functions and also provide accommodations. They are famous for their outstanding and artistic vegan desserts. Very helpful vegan friendly staff. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-9:00pm. Open 364 days of the year; closed Christmas Day.

The best vegan desserts in New Zealand - Edit
Governors Bay Hotel has really embraced their vegan customers with many excellent vegan options. The home cut hot chips come with a vegan aioli and the mains menu, which changes from time to time, offers choices such as felafel burger, veggie stacks, pumpkin penne, burritos, spinach filos and all are beautifully presented making each meal a feast for the eyes as well as the taste-buds. But it is the desserts which are to die for. Each dessert is a work of art in itself and the presentation is top notch. There are sorbets, cheesecake, brullee and chocolate done in a variety of ways. Just lovely and at $12 each, very well priced for what they are.
