Delicious wholesome food

All vegan Wednesday & Fridays. Moussaka & the kofta balls are so delicious! 😍 Only downside is that they’re closed Saturday & Sunday now.

So many choices! 😍

We really enjoyed the food. It was cheap. We were coincidentally there on a 100% vegan day. The Indian buffet was really delicious. They also had vegan moussaka and vegan lasagna on this day.

Good for a quick and easy meal

Quite tasty but a bit oily. Bain-marie style restaurant. I would eat here again but it’s not fine dining if you’re after a nice night out.

Pros: Vegetarian and vegan, Cheap, Quick and easy

Cons: Bain-Marie style food

Good food, friendly staff!

Been here a bunch of times. Never disappointed! Staff are kind and service is quick due to their bain marie preparation style. Highly recommended!

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Good value for money, Consistently tasty

Cons: Slightly confusing menu.

So delicious!

We popped in here on a Wednesday for the all vegan menu and found that it was a la Carte only, rather than the buffet we were expecting.

Samosas and kofta for entree, very good indeed!
Vegan lasagne, mi goreng noodles for hubby and I had the $11 meal deal, tofu, potato and pea curry, lentil daal and brown rice.

All the food was delicious, the lasagne was divine, and there was a good hint of spice to the dishes (often lacking in Australian Indian food).

We took dessert away, apple and berry crumble for me, peach halva for hubby, both with custard. They also proved to be delicious.

The portions were generous, the staff helpful and polit e and there were tables outside where we could sit with our dogs.

For me, this was better than Govindas (which apparently this used to be).

Excellent, would definitely go back if we were in the area.

Pros: Fully vegan menu (wednesdays only), Vegan desserts (with custard), Good value

Cons: When it’s gone, it’s gone!, Not the most scenic place to dine

Good food for a cheap price!

This minimalistic and cosy street food restaurant has a lot of tasty food to offer at a good price. They have “all vegan Wednesday’s” and provide new dishes often. It’s a casual place to get some Indian Curry’s and spicy tofu based recipes! The service is good, just wish they went all plant based! Recommend this gem!

Delicious and Cheap! :D

I payed $17 and I got a lentil daal, rice, Asian noodles, vegetable curry, salad, 3 kofta balls and yummy ginger drink. They have plenty of vegan options at a very affordable price, definitely recommend to anyone! :D (even my non veg boyfriend loved it) ;)

Pros: Yummy food , Great Price, Great location

Cons: I was way too full and wanted to try more haha

Easy tasty food

It's really easy to get a meal here. It's ready to serve.

Almost half of the menu items are vegan although the menu hardly if ever rotates or changes (even slightly) for variation and excitement.

Freshness can be a hit and miss due to being pre-cooked. Otherwise a good spot to fill you up!

Gopal's are also located at Ocean Street Markets every second Friday of every Month.

Pros: Open all afternoon , Quick and easy

Cons: Set menu without rotation, Closed weekends
