The problem with Govinda's is that it is operated by the Hare Krishna. And HK operates in "bait and switch" mode.

In other words, make it look good so as to attract (bait) and then deliver as little as possible.

At Govinda's that means BAIT customers with (for example) the idea of fresh organic ghee from contented cows but SWITCH to nasty "No Frills" brand refined safflower oil for frying. That's just an example - same for all the ingredients.

In general the mood is give less and take more.

Not a good place, not a good vibe. Stay away!

I'm here now and no sign off it at all.

food is great but I find that at times it is overly oily.

Please note vegan dishes are only available Fri-Sun all other days food is vegetarian.

Limited range of options in buffet but for price food is ok.

For those of you who might want to try Gopal's, I absolutely recommend it. The food was wholesome and tasty and the prices are perfect! There is also a meditation/yoga room, which is an awesome experiance to engage in. Happy eating!

I tried here a few times because it seemed a good concept. It's cheap but the food was always fatty, creamy & greasy. I won't go back.
