Serves meat, vegan options available. Waffle house and cafe with vegan choices which may include a breakfast burrito, a breakfast waffle and doughnuts. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-6:00pm.
It is burrito week in Santa Barbara where local restaurants are offering a lunch burrito for $9. Goodland had a vegan burrito so I decided to try them out. It was great! And they used my tupperware😄 Note that the salsa comes in plastic. The burrito is about 1/3 the size of a Super Cucas. I was glad that there was a discount this week because their normal menu is pretty expensive (e.g., $15 for a waffle).
I got their breakfast burrito during the burrito week. The flavor was well balanced (but all mixed so less complex than other places), it was full of protein, and a decent size (but not as big as elsewhere). So it’s an nice option when downtown, but i wouldn’t specifically seek it out.
I love that you can get both a savory and a sweet vegan waffle here. The savory one is topped with JUST Egg, arugula, avocado, thinly sliced radish and pickles, and a tangy vinaigrette. The sweet one has berries and coconut whipped cream. I also got an oatmilk cappuccino, and I love that they give you a coffee in a real mug if you get it for-here. My son had an oatmilk chocolate milk which he said was very good.
Loved their lattes! The vegan waffle was pretty good. Interesting combination with basically a salad on top (sweet waffle with tangy vinaigrette). Cute spot. Big kudos for offering a vegan waffle option, especially with Just Egg on top.
They have several vegan options. The waffle I ordered was supposed to be vegan, but it wasn’t—I could tell from the first bite. They had made a mistake, but they quickly gave me the vegan one, and it was actually really good! I recommend double-checking your order just in case. Price-wise, it’s one of the most affordable places I’ve found in Santa Barbara. The drinks are also amazing—iced matcha and hibiscus tea were SUPER tasty!
