Brunch - Edit
We got the tofu scramble, and it was so good! I just wish there was a sauce or something creamy to go with it. We also got the charcoal lemonade and it was like nothing I’ve ever tried before, very good!

I've been to heart beet quite a few times and love that it's gf and byob. The first two times I thought I found the go to place but the next 5 times was a disappointment. the bread always seems stale and the sandwiches are not properly cooked. They are mushy and never warm. Even the smoothies are inconsistent. I used to think the smoothies were amazing. Last time I was here for dinner I was with a group of 8 people and it was unanimous...the food is not good. I have faith tho, if they train their all teen staff to work on consistency and stocking fresh bread - all will be good at heart beet.

You won’t be disappointed!! - Edit
So it’s been a little while since I ate at this wonderful restaurant (because I don’t live in South Jersey anymore) but I do know that both times I ate here it was amazing!! Everything was fresh & tasty! I know one of my meals was the buffalo cauliflower sandwich (yummy) the other was the tempeh Benedict. Plus a cupcake that was utterly divine. Service is friendly & quick even when they are busy which I think they probably usually are. If you haven’t gotten here yet go soon & go often!!

Excellent fresh food - Edit
My husband and I enjoyed our trip to Heart beet kitchen. First we shared buffalo hummus and warm pita bread. Then, We enjoyed the BLT with coconut bacon and heart beet burger. Both came with a kale salad which was light and fresh. To end our Mother’s Day dinner, we shared a chocolate crumb cake and brownie. Absolutely delicious!

raw food and superfood style cheffing - Edit
I’m from LA and love Seattle visits. This is my favorite vegan joint in Seattle area because it serves the freshest food. It’s easy to get high raw entrees and desserts with integrity. They use superfoods artfully. The juices are great blends and they have targeted tonics. This is totally LA style fresh vegan food as far as I’m concerned! Cafe setting with a clean, crisp vibe.

NY quality right here on South Jersey - Edit
After just spending a week in NYC for the photography expo, we as new vegans got spoiled. After perusing Happy Cow we were disappointed how little options we had locally in the Deptford area. Only one in fact. HeartBeet. We we NOT disappointed for long. We tried a couple of the Philadelphia options and were satisfied but this was local and had all we could ever want. Staff - friendly and helpful (and patient) Food - we have had about half the menus by now and most was outstanding and a few were great I’m sure just not our flavor profile. Variety - plenty Deserts - Amazing. We are not kombucha people just yet but they have kombucha on tap. Atmosphere - quiet modern with plenty of plant accents. The short and long of it. Save the tolls and parking. The best is right here in Westmont.

We make sure to order here at least once a month. They are on grub hub which makes it very convenient. I think we have tried the entire menu and have not been disappointed. The mushroom soup may have been my favorite.

Healthy and Affordable - Edit
Best vegan restaurant in South Jersey! They have a mean veggie burger, the dressing on the side salad is to die for, and the staff are super friendly. Their smoothies are amazing, and are well worth the drive. If you are to go to Heart Beet, do try the Cinnamon Roll smoothie.

Excellent vegan cafe - Edit
Cute little cafe on Haddon Ave. that serves all vegan food. The decor was a little "shabby chic" with some mismatched dishes and a large wooden picnic table. I had the burger and my husband had the tempeh tacos. We also got a side of lemon wedge fries and tried the soup of the day (a white bean vegetable). Everything tasted fresh and healthy. We liked the food a lot, but it might be a harder sell with hard core meat eaters if you wanted to bring friends.

Great Food and Atmosphere! - Edit
We had dinner tonight at the Heart Beet Kitchen. It was very good but pricey. My burger was delicious, I could not believe the bun was gluten free! My husband had the sriracha tacos which were good but not enough to eat for dinner. I especially loved the kombucha they have on tap. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, I loved the fresh flowers at each table. We will be back because it is so WONDERFUL to go to an all vegan restaurant and there are only two in South Jersey.

Delicious Plant Based Friendly Place to Eat - Edit
Heart Beet Kitchen has great food for a reasonable price (entrees are $7 to $12). My favorite is the eggplant/walnut "meat" balls with marinara sauce over spiralized zuccini noodles. Their chocolate avocado pudding (usually available to go) is smooth and creamy. The coconut bacon BLT sandwich is crunchy and yummy. Homemade soup of the day is always fresh and delicious. Various entrees, salads, smoothies, baked desserts, daily specials and pre-packaged grab 'n go goodies make this place a marvelous addition to South Jersey's restaurant scene. It is the only restaurant in Camden County that is completely plant-based, and it is also organic, gluten free and healthy!
