Mmm

Absolutely enjoy this place! There are so many options that even a no vegan could find something. The Big Mac and Salt and Vinegar Potatoes are my go-tos but I recommend most of the menu.

Pros: Fully Vegan, Ice Cream?! Yes please!, Showcases local vegan products

Cons: Terrible smoothies

Pretty good.

I was super excited to finally try goodbeet! From other reviews/photos I was expecting a sit-down restaurant with service, but goodbeet is now a café. Their menu is only online and must be viewed on your phone which is a little annoying, but I understand it may be a precaution remaining after Covid.

I ordered the cauliflower app and Better Burger. The cauliflower was unbreaded, doused with frank's red hot, and served with ranch. Good but a little underwhelming for $10. The Better Burger was served on gluten-free bread of course, which was decent. I liked the flavor/texture of the walnut patty and the special sauce was good, but again it was a bit underwhelming. Honestly the best part of the meal were the pickles on the burger, lol.

Others have said their menu items are hit or miss. I'd like to try a few different things before making a sweeping judgement of the restaurant, and definitely their ice cream next-door as well!

Pros: decent food, curious to try a few more things

Cons: some items are pricey for what they are, underwhelming

Inventive and tasty comfort food

Note: they changed their name from Heart Beet Kitchen to Goodbeat in May 2021.

We loved all six of the several dishes our party split. The salt & vinegar potatoes were a large portion and perfectly seasoned. Cauliflower sandwich had an array of textures and great flavor. The caesar salad was excellent (we added avocado, which I recommend!). The "better" burger was hearty and tasty. The BLT (coconut, lettuce, tomato) was also full of flavor and had nice texture. Great nachos, too! The staff were very friendly and helpful, too. Glad we made the drive up from Avalon, and we look forward to returning!

Pros: Lots of taste and texture, Large and varied menu of vegan dishes, Soft serve ice cream!

Cons: New rebranding and hours... Confirm before going

Tasty

Tofu nuggets are amazing. Don’t sleep on them. Taste almost identical to (what I remember) a McDonalds Chicken Nugget!!! Coconut BLT also very good, has a sweetness factor. Kale Caesar was fine, a bit overdressed and chickpeas had an overwhelming soy sauce flavor. Good vegan stop, excited to try more of the menu.

Not as fancy as they wish they were

I like the Heartbeet Burger, and the Cauliflower Wings (though they might not be on the menu anymore?). But honestly it's so expensive for what it is. Items are kind of hit or miss. I tried some smoothie there once and it tasted like dirt, but it was like $10 so I drank it anyway. Another time I ordered for pick up through grub hub and they cancelled my order but didn't contact me. I was ordering out for a special occasion too so it was really a bummer. Probably wouldn't go here if it weren't the only vegan place in walking distance.

It’s okay

If you’re gluten free and vegan I do recommend it. My issue with this place is that it’s not owned by vegans.
(I used to work here) I do feel like you have to integrity if running a vegan restaurant. I saw employees eating cheesesteaks in the kitchen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it has some good options I do like the shakes here.

Pros: Gluten free

Cons: Pricey

In the middle

I've had good stuff and I've had stuff I had to throw away. It'[censored] or miss. But I do love that I dont have to worry about gluten here. Staff is friendly amd the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful despite being in town.

Delicious grub and sip

I got my first delivery from them via Uber Eats (I’m a tired and lazy vegan from Art Basel). I got the Caesar Salad with Quinoa and added a little Buffalo Cauliflower...the dressing was well balanced and tied everything in and better than any non-vegan one I’ve ever had. WHOA.
Also got a “Not Your Average Joe” Smoothie, which is pairing well to cool off the heat from the Buffalo sauce and is like a healthy dessert that won’t let me sleep more of today away.
Would give 6 stars if I could! Looking forward to visiting the Brick and Mortar to dine in.

Pros: ALL Vegan , Delicious!, Great price point

Mushrooms were so salty you couldn’t enjoy the steak and cheese sandwich.

Disappointed driving 2 hrs away to pick up a sandwich and was so salty had to throw it out.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Expensive

Excellent Choice!

Was in town just to pickup a vehicle I had bought and needed somewhere good to eat, and this was an excellent choice! Nice restaurant and friendly staff. For starters I had the Eggplant Sliders, then went with the Crab Cakes over Greens. For dessert, I tried the Cheesecake and was blown away! Not sure if I'll ever be in that area again, but if so, I'll definitely try again.

Vegan gluten free cafe

This place is a casual eat-in cafe style eatery that allows you to order at the counter and wait for your food. The folks here are pretty down to earth. Just outside of Philly, it's not surprising they have a good handle on tasty food that is also vegan and gluten free. So, almost anyone can eat here.

They have salads, baked goods, sandwiches and entrees. The weekends feature brunch if you have the time to be here.

The food is creative but standard all at the same time. For example, you can have spaghetti and meatballs, but the spaghetti is rice-based noodles and the meatballs are eggplant based. They also have burgers and sandwiches, again, with a novel ingredient or two. The beet burger is delicious - it doesn't try to mimic meat, it's just good.

Some appetizers like cauliflower and guacamole are good choices, too. For dessert, a cupcake or cookie. Delightful.

It's a hidden gem because it's not in Philly and not a big town, but it's a classy cafe for good food. I'd go here, in a heart beat.

Pros: All vegan and gluten free, Desserts, Menu marked for soy and nuts

Cons: Needs more raw options

Great but Pricey!

I LOVE Heartbeet. Their vibe and location is great, and their food is absolutely delicious. If I'm ever in the area looking for a quick bite or in Collingswood with some friends, we usually come here. The portions are somewhat small, though, and I personally don't think that their prices match up with what they are giving you. I once bought a small dish of mac and cheese that was $11! Still, though, I am happy to give them my money because I really do love their food and their staff is super friendly.

Pros: great food, nice ambiance, baked goods!

Cons: pricey

Half loved

My vegan friends and I went there for our second time the other day, and half of us were happy. The buffalo cauliflower, pizza, and eggplant meatballs were delicious. The heart beet burger was pretty plain, as was the bruschetta and the pad Thai. Three of us got the pad Thai and each of the plates looked completely different with different amounts of the different ingredients. So they definitely seem to have an inconsistency problem. But the baked goods were all very yummy for dessert.

Pros: Large portions, Not a bad price, Some yummy dishes

Cons: Inconsistent, Some dishes need more flavor

Pretty good :)

going to be honest, this wasn't as good as I had anticipated, but the coffee was good as well as the BLT and pizza app. It also had a nice atmosphere and I had a good time! I might go for something else the next time I go though.

Pros: Good, Quick, Nice environtment

Cons: A little pricey

Great Casual Vegan Eatery/Bakery

I live in the area and have been to Heart Beet many times and am never disappointed. Its a cute, cozy little place. You order at the counter, then sit down and they bring you your food.
The food is excellent...fresh, tasty and healthy. They also make awesome smoothies with your choice of almond or soy milk. Probably my favorite thing about this place though is the vegan baked goods. They bake them fresh, and there are different things every day. Cookies, cupcakes, etc. all vegan and all delicious. They also do custom cakes. I got one for an event with mostly non-vegetarian attendees and everyone loved it. If you're in the South Jersey area, definitely plan a stop here.

Pros: Fresh vegan baked goods, Awesome food, Nice ambiance
