Overpriced, no values. - Edit
I’ve been going to goodbeet since they were heartbeet kitchen. They’re always been a little on the pricier side but I wanted to support a fully vegan business. As of a few weeks ago, they added fish and chicken to the menu and have tried to make numerous excuses to justify this choice. Not a vegan business, just a business selling overpriced plant based options.

Now serving meat and fish - Edit
Very disappointing choice to start serving chicken and fish. Clearly the owner does not have strong values or convictions.

Has hit rock bottom - Edit
I always tried to support this place even as prices went up and portions got smaller. The menu just got sadder and sadder. The tofu nuggets and the slutty brownie were great but I couldn't justify the price any longer. Adding meat to the menu made the decision to stop going here pretty easy. This place just wants the clean girl/eating aesthetic and, well, good luck with that.

mediocre vegan gluten free food - Edit
Smells like chicken and fish in there now. We ended up not ordering it smelled so bad in there. We used to go there all the time. Order pizzas on friday. Tofu nuggets and vegan meatballs were pretty good. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my food knowing that animals were cooked nearby.

No Longer Vegan - Edit
Sadly, this restaurant is no longer vegan (although this change has not been reflected on its website yet). Chicken and fish added to the menu as of 10/23/2025. See company's social media profiles.

Disappointing - Edit
I’ve eaten at Goodbeat three times, always hoping that each individual experience was an off day and not representative of what’s typical but have been disappointed each time. Staff is friendly but the food is…lackluster. Small portions for the price (BLT), smoothies that are basically juice, subbing white rice for brown without informing you, etc. I make an effort to support vegan businesses but this is not one I will try again.

Amazing vegan & GF food! - Edit
Really enjoyed our meal here at goodbeet! It’s always great to see a restaurant that is both vegan and GF. While I’m not GF, I can definitely appreciate the effort that goes into making a GF menu. Everything tasted great, and honestly it would’ve been hard to tell that anything we had was GF. The restaurant itself was very nice inside with a modern/earthy vibe. I didn’t get his name, but the guy who was working was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu (he said he’d been there 7 years!). We tried the crispy potatoes, “meat” balls, a buffalo cauliflower taco, a sunflower seed taco, and the NJ tomato sandwich. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. At the end we also tried both the lemon and basil (sounds weird but it was yummy) ice cream and a s’more cookie. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here and I hope to be back to try more of the menu!😄

Small portions, high prices - Edit
I got a coconut BLT. It was $14.50. It didn't come with any sides. It was just bacon, lettuce, tomato and sauce. It was small. They charged a 3% "wellness fee," whatever that is. The food was good, but it certainly didn't wow me. The staff was friendly. The menu is only available online, and I had no service in the area, which made things a bit annoying. Had to connect to the slow wifi. All in all, not one of the better vegan restaurants I've been to. Nice to have it around though.

Worthy of Five Stars! - Edit
Vegan, gluten-free & organic, and everything from their kitchen is made in-house!
Read moreAs Mike (Manager) said, “We’re not trying to make food that tastes like meat.” …No Impossible or Beyond products (yeay).
He told us that the owner was in finance, had Celiacs, and no place to get good, clean food out. So Goodbeet was born! And THANK YOU for it too!
He also said that their community kept them running during the lockdown.
We both had the Better Burger — think vegan ‘Big Mac’. The tasty patties are made with walnuts, portobello mushrooms & black beans, layered on nut-bread bun (forgot ingr.), special sauce, butter lettuce, and Fishtown (from Philly) pickles
Pros: It was organic & GF, Mike was so helpful, Nice vibe
Cons: Couldn’t expand the menu on phone for more info, Bathroom has complicated lock (if you’re rushing)

Cute cafe with great food - Edit
Super cute little cafe with great sandwiches. The spicy potatoes side is definitely my favorite thing we had, and my tofu sandwich was delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures! I also liked the little market attached- they had some items I’ve been looking for but don’t have in my local stores.

A quaint cafe that every town NEEDS - Edit
After waiting a probably way too long to hop over to this place, I finally made the stop. I had their Italian inspired hoagie and a very sweet chocolate layered cake cup. The hoagie was seriously delicious, it reminds me of a one-of -a-kind vegan sandwich shop in Nashville called BE-Hive… I was so happy to have another amazing sandwich. Overall I can’t wait to go back!

Delicious Food, great service! - Edit
Food was amazingly delicious, service was excellent! The eggplant meatball sliders were a surprise since both me and my wife don’t like eggplants! Everything is gluten free which is a plus too! The Caesar salad was so good! Definitely have to take a drive and try everything including the market and deserts made daily!

Happy to find an all vegan, gluten free place to eat. Lots of menu options, cute little store attached with an ice cream shop. My burger wasn't the greatest, but I would come back to try other items on the menu.

Disappointing drop in quality - Edit
The quality has gone way down in recent years, despite prices staying the same or going up. The burgers come on buns that taste like airplane food, and the baked goods always taste raw and unbaked.

Tastey while cutting corners - Edit
All vegan, so relaxing to order. Good flavor. I ordered the cauliflower bbq sandwich. So yummy, but they were stingy on the dollop of ranch and didn't spread it on the bread. (Normally I would have said something but my friend is easily mortified, so I swallowed it.) It was messy, little bits of cauliflower. The fries were yummy.

Variety of food and desserts - Edit
We ordered their loaded potatoes, three taco special and crispy tofu salad. All were delicious. We loved that nothing was heavy in oils. Huge variety of desserts mostly made in house with no refined sugar. Everything is gluten free and organic. Soft serve ice cream is super creamy with a ton of delicious toppings. Hand scoop ice cream is coconut based. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend this place.

1st time here. Found street parking easily. Couple of tables available outside. Many tables available inside. Two big rooms for indoor dining. Very clean and inviting.

Moved onto eggplant “meatballs” with sauce. Thank goodness for the sauce because the meatballs were very dry. I wouldn’t order this again.
Had a good beer burger. Smaller than I expected and bland. Not much flavor. I wouldn’t get it again. I upgraded to crispy potatoes. Very much worth it. They were delicious. I will order them every time I come back.
I ordered a coconut bacon BLT to take home with me. Disappointing. Wouldn’t order it again.
Had the slutty brownie. It was good. I would get it again.

Cons: A little pricey for the portion size
