Great vegan shop

Great little shop selling an astonishing amount of vegan foods, including own brand cheeses, sliced veef. They also have a huge range of frozen ice creams, Anamma products and anything else you can think of.

One thing I really loved about this shop is that they waste as little as possible. They had filled part of their freezer with sliced veef and smoked vham (vegan ham) that went off a few months ago and was reduced from 25 to 5 krona so as to not throw it away and waste it.

Pros: Huge choice, Reducing food waste, Good value

Good selection

This is a large shop selling all the usual veggie stuff, plus some things I'd not seen before like 'tuna' paste. Bought some of their own brand 'cheese', but haven't tried it yet. They have a good frozen section including vegan pizzas :)

I've never been so happy in a store

I went crazy in there, wanted to buy everything. They have close to anything a vegan would ever need, including all kinds of chocolate bars even. Want to go back already

A great store

A store, a few minutes of walking distance from the very city centre. Here you find Astrid och Apornas own assortment but also many other vegan brands. Some things are pricey and some I find a bit expensive. The store itself could be more cosier though.

It's worth a visit! The restaurant Kao's is nearby.

Pros: Great options

Cons: Expensive

Vegan food store

This vegan food store has so many options. It's worth the visit and I will definitely be going there again.

I especially enjoyed the vegan frozen pizzas, caramel ice cream from Tofuline, Astrid och Apornas grillburger, Jeezly cheese and Jeezly pizza cheese.

GO THERE !!!

Pros: a lot of options, vegan ice cream

Vegetarian heaven

Offers so much vegan and organic food, sometimes for a too expensive price. Many of the products you can find at usual stores for a much better price. A quite big store with unpacked and packaged food, freezed and fresh. You can find most things you're looking for. They often have good sales on food with early expiration date, or food that is out of season.

Pros: wide range, fresh, much organic

Cons: expensive, slow staff

As if I needed more reasons to come back to Sweden

Awesome organic, vegetarian (mostly vegan, it seemed) store! They had pretty much anything you could possibly want in terms of vegan substitutes, as well as produce, pantry staples, a bit of prepared foods, and personal care products. The store was much bigger than I was expecting it to be. My only regret is that I didn't make it over here until three days before flying home. I wanted to try all the things.

Thank you!

This is the staple of veganism in malmö. Great store with most things you could ever wish for but it is a little on the expensive side.

Vegan grocery store in comfortable location

It is a medium-sized, not too pricey vegan store in a comfortable quite central location in Malmo. The shop offers a variety of mock meats, cheese options, yoghurts, soy milks and other products. Quite comfortable if you're shopping for lunch/dinner.

Pros: Large variety of foods, Convenient location

Cons: Some things are heavily overpriced

Perfect store

Went there just for the vegan köttbullar, returned with an entire bag full of food. Basically, the store offers everything one can possibly look for: sausages, milk, frozen pizza, chocolate, dog meat and so much more. Except for honey and a handful of other products the whole assortment is vegan. Prices are favourable, too. Located close to other vegan spots, so there's no reason at all not to visit this awesome shop.

Every city needs a shop like this

A full vegan shop where you can find anything you can imagine, from bulk nuts, seeds, legumes...to good processed food. Even you can find dog treats!

Food is mostly organic as well, and I specially mention their cheese variety and frozen food.

I only miss to find fresh bakery products.

Pros: 100% vegan, Food variety, Location

Cons: There wasn't fresh bakery products

Great store

Great organic vegan store. Sells food, vegetables, soap, vitamins, dog food, spices, and more!

Astrid and Aporna also has their own brand of vegan foods. I find this both cool and a bit worrying since I think other brands often are better than their own. As the selection of their own food-stuffs increase, I'm afraid they will stop selling food from vegan brands..

wow!

I really liked the variaty of stuff they offer. All the basics you need for vegan meals, but also the special stuff like vegan cheese and meat is there to find. They even have some raw superfoods to offer and many bars which are vegan, glutenfree and sometimes raw.

Pros: big variety of foods, superfoods, good to find

Cons: little dark inside

Great stuff! But..

They really need to change two things. While it's awesome with all the great vegan foods they have, the locale is horrid. Dark, grey, kinda depressing. Hopefully they'll put some lights in atelast, almost hard to read the labels.

And also, the staff is just sad. No hellos, no eye contact, just a really weird choice when there so many nice people in malmö to hire people that has no interest or passion at all in what they are selling.

Otherwise great place!

Great store

This is a really great store with a good selection of health foods - perfect for vegans. They sell quite a few fresh foods/salad/fruits and just about everything we needed for a well rounded vegan shopping trip.

I liked the fact that they had quite a lot of choice. A great find in Malmo.

Pros: Big, Lots of vegan stuff

A truly vegan-friendly supermarket

Lots and lots of organic stuff! Most of it vegan, all of it vegetarian. They sell various beans, grains, nuts and seeds in bulk (by weight), fresh fruit and vegetables, and lots of special stuff which otherwise might be difficult to find (such as vegan chocolate and candy, vegan ice-cream, nutritional yeast, vegan cook-books etc.). They also have a wide assortment of vegan fake-meat and -dairy products of their own production, such as sausages, cheese, hamburgers and so on. Seriously, try their vegan cheddar!

Pros: Detailed vegan assortment, Lots of organic things

Cons: Many of the things are quite expensive

The Real Deal

This place is a vegan's dream! We just moved to the city and were thrilled to find such an amazing, well-stocked and friendly shop.

They really do have everything you need for vegan cooking, baking and living! I really feel like they know their stuff (i.e. they stock all the vegan necessities like nutritional yeast flakes, bulk grains, soy products, vegan stock powder and so much more). Pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices too.

This is definitely going to be our new regular market!

Pros: HEAPS of great vegan items, Wide variety, Lots of organic and local products

A store for Vegans!

I just visited Astrid och aporna today and i was incredibly surprised by how many options there were to choose from.
I currently live in Denmark, and there are not that many vegan options here ( except veggies and fruits and some vegan alternatives.

I incredibly recommend you all to visit if you can.
Now i feel much more "normal" because there's a store just for us vegans & vegetarians ( of course meat eaters are welcome too!)

Loved it!

A great shop!

'Astrid and Aporna' is a lovely shop. It is very spacious and the selection is veeeery good, there are plenty of groceries, vegan 'meats' and 'cheese', and many kinds of vegan chocolates (including vegan bounty and mars bars).

4 cows, because it's not entirely vegan. If it was, it would get 5 cows.

Pros: Very wide selection, Friendly staff

Cons: It's not 100% vegan

great

they have a large selections of vegan and ecologic groceries, candy, cat food etc. i once thought i bought a vegan blueberry yoghurt, but when i got home i discovered that it was just ecologic. make sure you read on labels or ask, because everything isn't vegan.

unfortunately it is pretty pricey, as can be expected.

Astrid & Aporna is opening a cafe later this month! I'll post information about it as soon as I know more.

Cons: expensive

best shop in town

Great vegetarian shop with a wide variety of products and the staff are really friendly. Every time I go to visit Sweden I stock up on lots of veggie stuff. It beats any of the shops in Brighton, UK.

Pros: friendly staff, loads of different foods, Nice atmosphere
