Amazing vegan duck - Edit
I had the red curry which comes with sesame breaded vegan duck and rice (I believe it’s #36 on the menu). The duck was some of the better mock meats I’ve had, I was very impressed. The curry part was more of a sauce that was drizzled around the duck, I definitely would have liked a more generous helping of that part of the dish. I also had the spring rolls with tofu and peanut sauce which were good.

I’ve visited Good Morning Vietnam many times throughout the years. My experiences were different, sometimes the food didn’t feel as tasty as usual, but it could be a choice of a dish or just some randomness. However, I am still a big fan of this place and will keep on visiting whenever I have a chance.

After seeing the rating here, my expectations were quite high. I thought the taste was just ok though. I had summer rolls and a soup. The soup base was not so flavorful and it was supposed to be a bit sharp, but was not. The staff is not so friendly either.

The satay ga chay for starter was ok and the 2 mains courses were ok too. We took 2 dishes with 2 peppers (spicy) and it wasn't spicy. Presentation was beautiful but it lacked flavour. The place is very beautiful.

We ate here twice. The first time was excellent the second was mixed. Some of the food is absolutely amazing but a couple of dishes were just extremely sweet and sickly. The service is very efficient.

Starters were a soup with dumplings and summer rolls. Soup was good, and the rolls also with delicious sauce with them. Delivered very fast and we were impressed about it.

I had the pho, which I think is a reasonable yardstick for a Vietnamese restaurant. It was not pho at all. It was vegetable soup with rice noodles. None of the spices that should be in the broth. None of the basil and mint and other greens that are always served with pho.
On top of this, they will only take cash, if you spend over 15€(this is not advertised anywhere) so I had to order another item I didn’t actually want.
As of this moment I have been waiting for 15 minutes for my check since the table was cleared. My server seems to have disappeared.
It’s fine if you aren’t familiar with Vietnamese food, but I wouldn’t bring a Vietnamese friend here, and I likely won’t return.
Pros: Nice patio to enjoy the fresh air. , All vegan.
Cons: Quite pricy in relation to portion size, Pho lacks flavor. , I had to hunt someone down to pay them
