Food was just ok, a little bland and the WORST service. Ever. Don't waste your time on this disappointment.

Stopped in for take lunch and it was so good with other choices we came back for dinner! David the manager stopped over to talk with us - we talked about how he is supporting local farmers and how he developed his awesome menu. If you are anywhere near Columbia- be sure to eat there!

Great place to visit - Edit
I had the eggplant wrap with kale and fruit salad. The water was alkaline. The ice wasn't. I had the waitress bring me a glass without ice. Had cola cake and lemon bar for dessert. I would visit again. Good service.

Incredible! - Edit
I am so glad we took the time to check happy cow for places that we could eat on the way home from the coast. We were impressed by a couple places but this restaurant takes the vegan cake. Service was friendly and fast considering all the food was freshly made. We will definitely have to plan to come again! Thank you!

excellent! - Edit
I love this place and eat here about 3 times a week. The signature kale salad is to die for. I love it alone, as a side or in the Harmony Bowl. The black bean and sweet potato burger and ‘hot dog’ are amazing and the cakes, cupcakes, parfaits and cookies are dangerously delish.

Good food good service late evening - Edit
A bit slow because they were short-handed, but the food was good and vegan safe. Asked for oil-free choices (to stay on Whole Food Plant Based diet) and wait staff was helpful with choices. Would recommend heartily.

I had a chocolate chip waffle with a biscuit and it was incredible! I was there with a large party of non-vegans and everyone loved the food. Props to the staff for accommodating our party of nine, as well!

So much Yassss - Edit
Ugh. I loved it. Plain and simple. We stopped by this place around 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday after spending some time with my non vegan step mother at the zoo (cause obviously the only vegan food at the zoo was what the animals were eating). She is still on the fence about eating a whole food plant based diet so I have been trying to show her the light with different restaurants. This was by far the best!! She got a veggie burger and a slice of orange spice cake. I got a sushi roll, chips and queso, and a slice of the Coconut Raspberry cake. It was all so good! I make queso and sushi at home all the time so it was nice to have someone else make it for a change and the flavors were great. I haven't had a lot of vegan cakes so I was pleasantly surprised with what we ordered. They were a little on the dense side which is totally okay cause I like my cakes to be a bit sturdy and the flavors were completely on point. I even ordered a Rueben wrap with kale salad to go (and more desserts of course) for my husband cause he was super jealous he wasn't there! I did steal bite of his Rueben wrap when we got home and all I can say is omggggg. It was that good.
Read moreThe only and only thing I wasn't super into was the Almond Butter Bacon sandwich. I got that to go cause I wanted to try it but was already too full to eat it there. I really could have gone without it. The bread was hardly bread and tasted almost like granola and was super crunchy. Wasn't a fan and I ended up taking one of the slices of the granola like bread and just eating the rest open faced. It was just a little too sweet and the "bacon" taste wasn't strong enough for my liking. Still, you cant win them all but the food overall was very excellent.
Oh and ps. They don't have the Thai Tater Tots anymore though it is listed on their online menu. Good Life Cafe, if you are reading this, please put them back on your menu or at least as a special cause I am dying to try them!!

A little bland... - Edit
I had the guacamole appetizer. Missing flavor. I also had the eggplant bacon wrap. The “bacon” was sweet but didn’t taste like bacon. And at $12 for a 1/2 Wrap, I really was expecting more. The atmosphere was nice.

My husband and I ate here on our way to and from Folly Beach. Loved it! Highly recommend the spring rolls for an appetizer. They have smoothies, bowls, raw dishes & cooked dishes. The Reuben was our favorite dish we tried. We sat out on the sidewalk with our dogs. All of the staff were super friendly and we had great service both times. Will definitely go back- going to eat here every time en route to or from Folly Beach!

Everything I have tried at good life Cafe has been delicious. They have sandwiches, pastas, salads, tacos, tons of stuff! They also do brunch on the weekend. My favorite is the BLT with eggplant bacon on their delicious onion bread. Yum!! When they first started, they were not very good at organization and food took forever, but lately things have improved.

Good Life, Good Food - Edit
This place is delicious! I wanted to sample all the vegan fare that Columbia has to offer, but this was the first place I went to, and I loved the food so much, I ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's not cheap (raw food dishes never are) but it was really spectacular and flavorful and filling!

BEST KALE SALAD EVER! - Edit
Their house kale salad is amazing. Please get it. The eggplant bacon wrap was really filling as well. The Reuben is not worth the money, basically a friend wonton wrap with tempeh. But THE KALE SALAD!! Get the kale salad. You won't regret it.

Everything I ate here was so good!! It was my first gourmet raw experience. I asked if they made a cookbook, but alas, they did not. The flavors were so amazing that even people who think they are omnivores would enjoy it. I look forward to going back when I'm in the area.

Delicious and different - Edit
I have been to GLC three times. I have had the tacos and the queso (amazing), the BBQ burger (very savory and delicious, but no bun of any kind), and the burrito bowl (very good, but would be better if they used coconut-cilantro brown rice, rather than white rice, which is very heavy and starchy). The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable.

My go-to Columbia restaurant - Edit
This is literally the first restaurant I visit whenever I come to Columbia for work ... And I often get lunch to-go from here as well during my stay.
Read moreMy favorite menu items are the lasagna and the the burger of the day -- they are HUGE in terms of serving size and very filling. The almond butter bacon sandwich and the eggplant bacon wrap are also very good if you want something hand-held. If you can't decide what to pick, you can do the sample plate that includes small servings of three entrees and three sides. It was too much for me to eat in one sitting, but I got lunch the next day out of it too!
Their smoothies and desserts are substantial and definitely worth trying. However, I'm only giving them 4 stars because most of their smoothies contain bananas, and the past three times I've visited (months apart) they were out of them!! They seriously need to stock up. Otherwise, this is my go-to spot in Columbia. Check it out!
Pros: Large portions, Wide variety of menu options, Not too oily or salty (unlike some other raw resta
Cons: A bit expensive, They often run out of menu items/ingredients
