I got the Jamaican chicken burrito “commando style” (no flour tortilla, so like a burrito bowl/plate) and it was so good! Omnivore approved. Great service! The blackberry cider was tasty.

Feels more like a bar than a restaurant even on a Sunday afternoon. Not bad but maybe best to not be expecting something else. They do have some outdoor seating.

This place has delicious food and drinks. The Jamaican dish is my favorite. Nice location in downtown SJ and the staff is kind. They have a live dj some days too!

Was glad to find an all-vegan place close to the convention centre. It was quite loud and crowded when we were there (live jazz sunday evenings). Food was pre-made and you picked which options to get on your plate. The kale salad and jerk tofu were good but the chana masala was disappointing. Ill no doubt eat here again this week just due to its location

I’ve been coming to Good Karma for years since a friend (who isn’t even vegan) told me I’d love it and it’s his favorite place in downtown San Jose. The menu is simple, they focus on doing a few things well. Try the Chile Verde!!!

It’s more of a downtown bar with great vegan food selection. We enjoyed the Nachos, Chile verde & Jerk tofu plate and the pulled pork tacos.

Hands down the pulled pork tacos knocked it out of the park!!
We have a SJSU student now, so we will be making this one of our new “must eat’s!”

I have mixed feelings about this place. I'm glad that they're all vegan, but it seems like good food and service are an afterthought here. When we were in, we were the only people who ordered food, yet it still took a long time for them to bring it to us. They forgot to bring us one of the things we ordered, and it was extremely difficult to get their attention. The food was just okay, and they were out of multiple menu items.
Read moreGood Karma Artisan Ales is a fine place to snack on Daiya cheese over chips while you're out drinking, but it's not somewhere that I should've gone out of my way to try. I agree with another review that the cheese choice causes the chips to get too stuck together, and aside from the top layer, there aren't enough toppings left for the rest of the chips.

San Jose sucks for vegan dinner dining, I found myself there so many times when working in Cupertino and always left unsatisfied. Better to cook at home. Yuppie bar food plus always parking tickets.

Lovely bar in Downtown San Jose. Everything was vegan so i didnt have to adapt the menu and the portions were good. Great selection of draught and canned beer. Plenty of Gluten free options available aswell and are clearly marked. Staff were lovely to chat to and knowledgeable about the menu.

We ordered the Boscoe tacos & pulled pork tacos which were both delicious. Also tried the drumsticks (yum!). Definitely try the baklava too!! Loved the enthusiastic staff and selection of beer/cider as well. The worker gave us an extra drumstick on the house and then free dessert when he learned it was my partner’s birthday. We will definitely return.

Love that this entire bar with all the food is completely vegan. Perfect place to relax, enjoy your favorite beers and eat flavorful food without the stress of checking if something is vegan or not. My husband got the pale lager from the tap and loved it. I'm not a beer drinker but had plenty of Kombucha options. We had the Quesadilla, chile verde curry with rice and the Jamaican Curry. Owner gave us drumsticks on the house. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the Jamaican curry.

My date had been here before and raved about it even though he's not even vegan so I knew it was going to be good. We had the pork tacos, chips with homemade cilantro hummus, the bao bun, and the star of the night was the quesadillas with chipotle ranch. The chef was even nice enough to add their drumsticks to the quesadillas, making them very savory. We ate at the bar and enjoyed some good music, good food, and the staff were very friendly and made excellent beer recommendations. Highly recommend hitting this place up for some small but filling plates before you go out drinking or dancing.

Good Things Come to Plant-Based Diners - Edit
They offer a choose-your-own type of menu where you select a style (burrito, plate, etc.) and then pick among their vegan entrees. All of the plant proteins looked amazing and we ended up ordering a 2-item brown rice plate with their Jerk Tofu and Arugula-Beets Salad, and a burrito with their Chile Verde. As a side, we also started with their Jalapeno-Cilantro hummus with chips.
Read moreFirst off, the hummus was incredible. A very generous helping of chips came with their dip and we found ourselves having more hummus than chips by the end. How does that even happen? It was so good that it inspired me to make my own at home afterwards.
As for our mains, we loved the flavors in the tofu and the salads. Although it was a bit saltier than expected, the jerk tofu combined with potatoes and brown rice made for a very filling meal. My partner enjoyed the chile verde but said it was on the sweeter side, so not a complete substitute but still good to have a meat eater's approval.
Definitely try to dine outside with your order if possible to people watch.
