Clean, modern & well stocked - Edit
I love this grocery store - I would almost consider moving to Fairfax to go shopping here. They used to be in a location farther west, past the main part of Fairfax and this newer location is well organized, spacious, clean and has good parking on both sides of the building.
Read moreThe deli has vegan options and there are prepared vegan foods. There is a 2lb loaf of sourdough whole wheat sliced bread that will keep your sandwich making activities stocked for ages (it's so good!).

I appreciate this place and their online ordering system. They have a wide selection and I have tried several sandwiches, wraps, burritos, bowls, etc. Online ordering makes it far easier to customize your order than in the before times when you gave your order to a person. The quality varies a lot. Sometimes there's a liter of oil at the bottom of a bowl. Sometimes the tempeh tastes super old and dried out. It's not always fresh and that's too bad.

Pretty Good Vegan Selection - Edit
I’m never happy in a store that sells meat, and it does tend to be on the pricey side, but that aside it’s one of the vegan friendlier grocery stores in the area. Produce is very good, lots of nice bulk grains, a reasonably good selection of vegan products like Field Roast, and super nice that everything is organic.

I love this store and wish there was one near where I live. It’s not cheap, but everything here is top notch and the staff do a good job of checking the produce and making really good hot bar items. It’s a small store, but they have so many vegan options you barely notice. All of their prepped food is marked vegan or not and I appreciate that transparency. Most of the baked goods are vegan, and I had the amazing sticky buns, apple strudel, scones, cookies, and more. They were all so good!

This is a great place to have lunch. With only one Vegan restaurant in Marin County this is a welcome and delicious place to eat.
Read moreI eat lunch here almost everyday. Many times I bump into friends that I made while sitting at the community table. It's always interesting there and there is also seating outside.
Don't buy groceries here because it is very expensive, however, the store is set up so beautifully it makes it hard not too. Be warned though you will have sticker shock at the cash register.

Good earth has 100% organic produce in their produce section. All produce has the source farm listed with location and miles transported. Great raw food section. Everything you want in a salad bar. Fresh juices to order at the counter or stocked up daily. They even recently started tagging all processed products that potentially have GMOs and the label now states that they'll be trying to source better products ASAP.

Good Earth does a Good Job - Edit
Good Earth is a great store in Fairfax that has just about most things to keep a veggie household happy. This store has a great selection and excels at fresh, local produce, vegetarian goods, vegan goods, and raw goods. The deli has surprisingly tasty fare and fresh juices and smoothies, and the produce shows you how many miles its traveled, making Good Earth the only store I know that is vegetarian, vegan, raw, health, eco and locavore friendly!
Read moreThe organic selection is large, and the staff are very friendly. The bulk selection allows for eco-friendly purchases, and to support that kind of behavior, there is a discount given to anyone who brings their own bag to the store!
In terms of non-food related goods: Good Earth also stocks mostly cruelty free personal and home care products, and a lot of those are in addition vegan and organic.
I'd recommend this store to anyone in the area looking for vegetarian, vegan, raw, healthy, ecologically friendly, organic, or local fare.
