My Favorite Lunch Spot - Edit

This is a great place to have lunch. With only one Vegan restaurant in Marin County this is a welcome and delicious place to eat.

I eat lunch here almost everyday. Many times I bump into friends that I made while sitting at the community table. It's always interesting there and there is also seating outside.

Don't buy groceries here because it is very expensive, however, the store is set up so beautifully it makes it hard not too. Be warned though you will have sticker shock at the cash register.

Pros: Has a lg selection of Vegan choices, Well labeled for Vegans and others

Cons: Very expensive

Great selection, though often quite overpriced - Edit

The best thing about Good Earth is that its deli/café serves as a sort of watering hole where one bumps into friends.

As a grocery store, it has a very good selection, but some of the prices are pretty shocking compared to its competitors.

Pros: good selection

Cons: expensive

All grocery stores should be this good! - Edit

Good earth has 100% organic produce in their produce section. All produce has the source farm listed with location and miles transported. Great raw food section. Everything you want in a salad bar. Fresh juices to order at the counter or stocked up daily. They even recently started tagging all processed products that potentially have GMOs and the label now states that they'll be trying to source better products ASAP.

Pros: All organic produce, Great juice & salad bars, Sit outside and enjoy the views and sun

Cons: Pricey but worth it

Absolutely the best - Edit

The first(?) & still the best organic & natural store in Marin County. In January they are to move to a new location two blocks away which is roughly twice the size. The owners certainly stick to their guns to provide the best and only organic foods and other natural products.

Cons: They only have one location!

Good Earth does a Good Job - Edit

Good Earth is a great store in Fairfax that has just about most things to keep a veggie household happy. This store has a great selection and excels at fresh, local produce, vegetarian goods, vegan goods, and raw goods. The deli has surprisingly tasty fare and fresh juices and smoothies, and the produce shows you how many miles its traveled, making Good Earth the only store I know that is vegetarian, vegan, raw, health, eco and locavore friendly!
The organic selection is large, and the staff are very friendly. The bulk selection allows for eco-friendly purchases, and to support that kind of behavior, there is a discount given to anyone who brings their own bag to the store!

In terms of non-food related goods: Good Earth also stocks mostly cruelty free personal and home care products, and a lot of those are in addition vegan and organic.

I'd recommend this store to anyone in the area looking for vegetarian, vegan, raw, healthy, ecologically friendly, organic, or local fare.

Pros: local produce&lots of veg friendly goods, friendly staff, actually tasty deli
