Vegan breakfast option - Edit
They have a vegan breakfast option with mushrooms, potatoes, beans, toast, salad and tomatoes. Not the best ever but still hits the spot. Very good value for money.

Not much for vegans - Edit
They had kombucha and one Ⓥ bowl on the menus. Staff was nice and the layout is welcoming but not much in terms of options.

Breakfast hits the spot - Edit
Small restaurant, where you order at the counter, and the server brings the food to your table. No ongoing service, and you're asked to clear your own table at the end of the meal.
Read moreThere are several vegetarian options, and a more limited vegan selection. I had the Veggie Classic, veganized, for breakfast, which included baked beans, toast, grilled tomato, mushrooms, potatoes and salad greens instead of eggs. It was filling and tasty.
As of July 11/21, the tables and chairs were all clean. They seemed to be following covid-19 cleaning protocols. However, the seat cushions on the benches clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while and that diminished the atmosphere of the restaurant which was otherwise good.

Decent vegan options - Edit
I would’ve given them 2 stars if I only tried the vegan bowl. It was very boring. A tiny bit of quinoa, but mostly beans. Black beans, garbanzos, edamame. The menu said it had candied walnuts, which I thought sounded good. There must’ve been a pinch and they were like dust. Do not get the vegan bowl if you want a good vegan meal.
Read moreHowever, the vegan pad thai was great! My mom ordered it and I liked hers better than mine! One thing is I tasted too much soy sauce. But overall I’d order it again.
Another bonus: they have plenty of vegan pastries. Banana chocolate bread, muffins, etc. I’d say more than half of what they had out was vegan, and we were in after noon.
I read a few things about it being hidden. We entered through their front so it was easier. Their front is on the exterior of the village. To enter through the village you have to enter the bookshop across from Mogul’s, and go straight down the hallway.
Pros: Vegan options, Vegan pastries, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Hidden. Enter the bookshop and go down the hall, A few good options, some not so good

Good options, clearly labeled, delicious - Edit
The menu clearly identifies vegetarian vs. vegan dishes. The hot chocolate can be made vegan (multiple choices, including oat milk). The "vegan-ize it" was delicious. Had vegan banana bread too. I'm happy I chose to eat there.

Was a bit of a slap up job... - Edit
I came here for breakfast, the photos on happy cow made it look okay but what I got was not so good...
Read moreThe beans tasted okay but nothing else really had much flavour, my tomato was undercooked it all just seemed a bit thrown together at the last minute and they didn’t even seem that busy.
I also got a 16oz which is supposed to be a triple shot as shown on the menu but it just tasted like milk (oat milk).
I also tried a banana pecan muffin that was really dry, it seemed like it was a day or two old.
It was a bit disappointing really.
Pros: Wait/counter staff were nice , Cheap food for whistler
Cons: Foods not great, Coffees not great

great vegan choices - Edit
I had the pleasure of enjoying several meals here while on vacation. I was super happy with how early they open, as I am an early riser and like to eat! I LOVED their full English breakfast. For lunch, we had the pad Thai and it too was very delicious.

Amazing food! - Edit
We were staying in Whistler this past week and it was our first visit since being vegan. The Gone Eatery was a place I frequented often but had a whole new appreciation for the food this time. All the dishes consumed were fresh and delicious. The vegan Pad Thai was my favorite. I would highly recommend a visit!

Cons: can be a wait - it's popular among the locals
