Best breakfast in Lagos - Edit
October 2023: goldig is now 100% vegan, and the menu offers bagels, toasts, pancakes, and yoghurt with granola, besides coffe, juices and more.
Read moreGoldig Cafe offers a wide range of different breakfasts, including banana bread, cakes, two types of muesli, a full continental vegetarian breakfast, an amazing vegan option with homemade bread (that bread is super!!!) hummus olives fruit, bread and jam... It's easy to veganize the vegetarian options (for example, agave syrup rather than honey). And they have good music inside, and it's nice to sit outside in the morning, the Cafe is in a cool pedestrian area.
I had breakfast there every day I spent in Lagos and will certainly go back if I go again there!

Lovely food and coffee, bit pricey - Edit
More expensive than other cafes we visited, but really good coffee and fresh food. We shared a pesto toast and portion of pancakes between two and we were absolutely stuffed, so it was worth the 22€ (incl coffee)

Good but really expensive - Edit
The staff is very friendly and the food tastes fresh, but in my opinion all in all it is too expensive. We paid 9 euros for a bagel or a sandwich and 5 euros for a small glass of orange juice. I still appreciate the quality of the food and that it is handmade so it is still be worth visiting.

Check out vegan chef Bree’s VEGAN Pastel de Nata OMG it’s amazeballs - Edit
A mostly vegan 🌱 joint.
Read moreMichael, Bree, Oisín, Eliza & team are absolutely an awesome crew and I love seeing them and having a chat whilst ordering/eating vegan 🌱 grub.
Very hygienic looking open plan kitchen where the chefs & servers all happily muck in together.
People watching on the street is great fun and it’s a great place to meet people due to the large tables that people share.
The Goldig Wi-Fi is good and I often catch up on my work whilst sitting there eating & drinking vegan.
Staff need to keep their conversations down as customers can hear EVERY word.
The future is vegan 🌱

Cute place, amazing staff - Edit
This place is so cute! The staff was so kind (especially the one guy with all the cool tattoos). I loved the juice with carrot, ginger and orange (don’t remember the name) and the lemon cheese cake. The bagel no two was also nice with carrot salmon and cream cheese but in my opinion the cream cheese tasted more like hummus than like cream cheese. But still it was very delicious!

Great vegan bagels - Edit
Really great spot with delicious vegan bagels. The "smoked salmon" bagel is great. They also have nice smoothies that are super refreshing. And the fresh banana bread is really tasty. The staff are friendly and helped recommend other vegan food spots in Lagos. Definitely coming back here.

Everything made from scratch - Edit
This places has mainly toasts, bagels, desserts, and fresh juices. We had a toast with hummus, cucumber, cherry tomato, and a lox bagel (vegan cream cheese, carrot , arugula and capers), which was made has a toast because we arrived there for a late lunch and some items were not available anymore. This was not a problem at all and all the food was delicious. They told us they do everything from scratch and the vegan cream cheese from the bagel was divine. The portions are very generous!

Goldig - Edit
Myself & my mam went here while in Lagos. Easy to find using maps and the staff were lovely. Very small space but has a cosy vibe. Food was delicious. We got to take some fresh baked banana bread home with us also. As far as I'm aware the whole menu is vegan aside from one option to add egg to a dish.

Currently open (Sept 2022) - good breakfast! - Edit
We had a very nice breakfast of pancakes, banana bread and coffee. It’s not the cheapest place but they make all the dishes themselves from scratch. It was a bit busy and chaotic when we were there (they seemed a bit understaffed) but the staff were very friendly and clearly doing their best!

We ordered the vegan 'salmon' bagel and the vegan pancake with fruits. There were three kombucha flavors available and three or four juices. We tried hibiscus kombucha and fresh orange juice, both were delicious. Everything was great, reasonably priced, and the folks working were very friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Vegan Smoked salmon bagels! - Edit
This place best smoked vegan salmon bagels! The flavour was just a burst in your mouth! Ever ingredient just complimented the bagel perfectly. Get there early because these sellout pretty quick. their cafe grande is nice for a good coffee kick too. Everything is homemade, down to their sourdough bread. A really nice place. Their toasts with pesto are pretty good too. But the bagels left us wanting to order out their shops worth of them.

Cons: Cash only.
