I loved my experience at Golden Era Vegan! For beverages, my friend and I ordered hot tea, an iced matcha latte, and a Thai iced tea. They were all very tasty and not overly sweet.

I've been here many times, and they're food and service are always good. This time I had the wonton noodle soup to warm my spirit, and it did just that. Left with a full belly and happy heart.

My favorite Asian Fusion restaurant - Edit
Everything is wonderful. The lunch specials are great. My faves are the sweet potato curry, the mushrooms and the green beans. But I usually order off the menu and have tried many dishes. The curries are great and the salads are tasty too. And I always get a Thai iced tea to go with. The buns (forget what they’re called) are a treat. A great place to spend my dinner hour.

Everything was cooked perfectly, all of our dishes were delicious, and it arrived quickly! We ordered and had food at our table in about 5 minutes. Everything was seasoned well, it was hard to stop eating!

I literally can’t believe a fully vegan Asian place exists! There were so many unique dishes on their menu as well as comfort classics that I definitely have to go back. The service was great and the restaurant itself, beautiful. I highly recommend!!

Very clean inside, vaccines are required for all dining in. Great portions and prices, they have SO many options. If you’re ever in the mood for good Chinese, come here! I brought my omnivore friend and they loved it too, said the orange chicken tasted real. I had the birds nest noodles & the fried rice, really tasty! $10 university parking lot nearby if you’re worried about street parking.

Amazing vegan Chinese-Vietnamese food - Edit
Love this place. It’s my go-to place for take out because they are so consistent and fast. Lots of choices on menu and everything is vegan. My favorite things are the mochi rolls. Spring rolls, eggplant basil dish, mushroom dish. Get take out on any of the delivery apps like Post Mates or Uber Eats. Not pleasant to park in this area.

I called a few weeks before visiting to inquire about the menu and some of the ingredients, and the staff were extremely helpful. They were also welcoming when I visited the restaurant. Also, the food was delicious, wish I had gotten more food from here. I ordered the spicy lemongrass "chicken" which is supposedly the most ordered dish from here.

The food here was so good!! I would definitely recommend the tofu curry wraps. However the restaurant is in a very seedy area. I noticed a lot of people on drugs outside the restaurant be careful if you’re walking around here.

Vegan gem in the Tenderloin! - Edit
I've been going to this restaurant for years, since it was further up in the tenderloin. The fresh spring rolls, spicy sweet and sour soup, and spicy kung pao are some of my favorites and always hit the spot. Curry king mushroom or lemon grass are good when I'm looking to change things up. All around I'm really happy this restaurant is here, nice people, wonderful food, excited to see them open for in person dining again as the pandemic eases in SF.

Maybe the saying is true that distance makes the tummy grow fonder because these were the best Sautéed Basil Eggplant & Mushroom and Lemongrass Deluxe dishes I’ve ever gotten from Golden Era. And I’ve gotten them plenty.
Read moreI’ve been a customer ever since GE was farther up in the Tenderloin and through its reopening at its current location. Now post-pandemic, the food has gotten even better.
Other favorites from the all-vegan menu include the Banh Xeo, Spicy Sweet & Sour Soup (GFO), and Mama’s Claypot. This is sure to be a growing list as I continue to go back and try all their wonderful dishes.

The place was clean, door was lock when we tried to go in but probably just for safety measures, we had hand sanitizer as we walked in and by the restroom, all plates were compostable with spoons and chopsticks as well also we got temperature check.. Coffee tasted good a bit too sweet for my taste but pretty strong after a few sips, the drumsticks were pretty good tasted better with sriracha and bit of ketchup, about the wonton soup it was a decent side but I would've ordered it with noodles in my opinion, chowmein was not what I was expecting as the chowmein I know and it was a bit plain but adding the protein was really good..

First time at this 100% vegan place and we enjoyed it very much! Because we knew we would be picnicking, we just ordered a few simple items for Take Away. We ordered Spring Rolls, Pot Stickers, and the Pumpkin Almond Cheesecake. Everything was really tasty!! I was actually surprised at how good the pumpkin cheesecake was too. They also have GO MAX GO bars which are my FAVORITE vegan candy bars on the planet and they aren't easy to find!! Do yourself a favor and buy a Mahalo bar (vegan version of Almond Joy) and Jokerz (Vegan snickers!!). Go Max Go makes vegan version of all the classic candy bars!! It's a great brand I like to support.

got the spicy soup and it had vegan beef, duck and tofu skins in it. tasted warm and spicy and of lemon grass. different flavors with every bite, and so cheap!! i hated san francisco until i ate this soup.
