Bangkok is hard

Bangkok is a beautiful city known for phenomenal sea food. Unfortunately for vegans (including myself) there are few veggie options. In the ranks of veggie options Golden Bay Leaf is near the top for me. It is a local spot that was shown to me by a local. Most tourists would pass right by it. Once you enter you see a wide array of fish (no shark) but when you look at the menu you can see that in this novel of a menu there is an extensive section in the back displaying a wide variety of authentic Thai and Chinese cuisine served with tofu and coconut milk. It is truly phenomenal food. They quickly understood we don't eat meat or milk and have been vary accommodating. They have even allowed me to order off the meat menu and swap out chicken for tofu, and they gave me a discount since tofu is cheaper. This place would have a 5-star rating from me if happy cow would allow. It has been difficult finding veg options here in the local's neighborhood and this has been a true blessing.

Pros: Local spot, Good food, Lots of vegan options

Cons: Serves mostly meat, English of staff is not great, No a/c
