CLOSED: Gola
Serves meat, vegan options available. Fine dining Indian food restaurant in downtown Freehold. The outside has tinted windows so it might look closed even when it's open. Menu does not label vegan items, but the vegetarian items are labeled and many can be made vegan by omitting cheese. Try the overnight cooked 5 lentil dish. Or ask the chef to make gobi manchurian. Awesome place to eat! - Edit
Very cool interior design. New place, opened about a year. The owners are always in there. If you are vegan, just let them know. They know what's up. If it's not busy, ask them if the chef can make you gobi manchurian. It's REALLY good. The overnight slowcooked 5 lentil dish (can't recall the name) is my favorite. Many vegetarian options, most which can be made vegan. BYOB. It always looks like it's closed because the windows are dark but it's usually open. Walking distance to a Rita's if you want to grab dessert. Call ahead during busy times. Get the regular rice...I'm a brown rice all the time kinda guy but this place makes such great regular rice I have to get it every time.
Pros: Friendly service, Great food
Cons: Expensive
