We found this little gem by accident and we were so happy with the find.
Everything on the buffet was vegan with the exception of one dish. Everything was fresh and just delicious. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
Amazing Indian food here with vegan options clearly indicated on the menu. Expansive list of vegan options from appetizers to desserts and the staff was very friendly. I'll for sure be coming back here more often.
Updating my review from a little over a month ago. I returned tonight after a great first experience and sadly had quite the opposite this time around. We arrived at 7:30pm and 4 other guests were in the dining room and a small party in the party room.
The owner immediately told us they were very busy and when asking what we wanted to eat I said I needed more time on the entree and he says "You need to order it all now otherwise it'll be too late" kind of weird but okay I went ahead and ordered samosas and curry. Samosas came out fast but then the owner/our waiter didn't return until my friend's food came out then he left immediately again. And that was the extent of us seeing him for the rest of the time.......
My entree never came and nobody once came to check up on us. The dining room was nearly empty and I saw the owner turning people away as they came in the door saying they were too busy. After waiting 30 minutes after my friend's food arrived with no waiter coming over we decided to just go pay and leave. The owner gave us the check with my entree still listed and I said "I never received my food please take this off the bill" which he did right away but he also kept saying "You should've came and got me and told me".
It doesn't feel like the duty of the patron to track down the staff especially after being told how "busy" they were. I assumed my food was just taking longer but it was never even made. Overall it was a really displeasing experience and a world of a difference from my first visit.
I get it that restaurants can be short staffed but if you know you're having a party then plan accordingly and provide proper service when your dining room is practically empty. As good as the food is, I won't be returning due to this experience.
i have been a long time fan of the banana leaf on bethel and was heartbroken to see it close. come to find that gokul is the same owner! what a wonderful guy that owns the place and wow the food is unlike any Indian food ive had. they are so passionate about pushing the vegan lifestyle. such a blessing to have this place in cbus.
We came to try their famous all vegan buffet and it didn’t disappoint! They make it Covid safe by delivering an array of dishes to the table with unlimited refills. The food was so flavorful and not oily at all. The owner was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, we will definitely be coming back soon! You can’t beat a vegan buffet for $9.99!
Incredible food, super nice owner, the buffet was to die for. Everything is reasonably priced especially the buffet which is made COVID safe with table service. Reminded me of my late grandmas cooking the flavors were so comforting! will definitely be back.
I liked most of what I've had from this place well enough. The Indo-Chinese Fried Rice was underwhelming, but I liked the curry and appetizers I've tried here.
Gokul is seriously delicious. Everything is either vegetarian or vegan or can be made vegan. The menu is clearly marked so there is no confusion. If I lived closer, I'd eat there weekly.
