Scone

The blueberry scone was amazing. Very impressed and from a non vegan place.
I nearly ordered a second one, then remembered diminishing returns and getting fat.

Healthy vegan fare

Lots of healthy vegan options including veggie burgers, wraps and breakfast items. We had the hummus wrap, which was large, flavorful and very filling. Their coffee was robust and delicious.

Delicious, fresh food

I ordered the street tacos (lots of avocado sauce, plus salsa on the side) and mint chip smoothie. The portion was large and ingredients fresh, prices comparable or better than what I can get back home (Long Island, NY).

Not impressed

Came here with some friends on our trip through PCH. I wasn’t too impressed by their options for vegans. Portions were small and overpriced for what they had. I ordered the garden bagel, on which they usually put a dairy cheese and pesto but the vegan option would be to remove the cheese and pay an extra dollar for avocado.

Pros: Vegan breakfast options for Morro

Cons: Caters more to Veg/health-conscious than Vegans, Overpriced, Few real vegan options

Love this place!

Great burgers, salads, smoothie bowls and reasonable prices. Space is small but they do have some seating inside. I like to get food to go and take a 2 minute drive down to Morro Rock and sit and watch the sea otters while I eat.

Pros: Good food, Good prices

Cons: Some items have eggs

Great avocado toast

We ordered the avocado toast with hazelnut coffee, they were both soooo good! And from what I've seen they have a lot of vegan options. Very recommended!

Goddess Goods

Visited in 2018/2019. First off, I hate to rate fully vegan restaurants lower... But when all of the food items you order taste bad enough you have to throw them all away, then honest feedback key.

First, there was only one employee working at the time and we felt very sorry for her that the restaurant wasn't sufficiently staffed (Update: I later learned that this was the owner and her staff called out sick, leaving her by herself). It took a half hour to receive our acai bowl and vegan bagel. The employee was very apologetic, and she should have been better supported during busy hours.

The acai bowl was really bad--it tasted like a sweet juice smoothie / flavored ice. They presented it nice but there is a lot of room for improvement here, starting with the acai base. Maybe they can cut down the sugar in the base and mix in a plant-based milk? Either way, personally, I'd never order this again. The acai bowl was 1-star for us.

The vegan bagel was also bad, I'd say this was 1.5 stars. The bagel was a bit hard and almost seemed stale. The vegan cheese had a strange taste and my bf refused to eat any more after a few bites. I think the cheese was made from cashews but I can't tell you what other flavors were included (besides nutritional yeast sprinkled on top). It really tasted more like a hummus bagel to me. Maybe they can consider making a cream cheese similar to Tofutti, Kite Hill, or Follow Your Heart? Other than that, it was nice that they added some fruit in the box with the bagel, we ate that but threw the bagel away.

I hope others have had different experiences here than I did. I think Goddess Goods has a lot of potential.

Traditional Healthy Vegan Food

Nice vegan cafe with lots vegan options. Food was fresh. The crisp sandwich was fresh and full of veggies I liked the apple addition. Wish it had a bit more flavor. My husband had the Smokey Chickpea wrap which was fresh and filling. Was a bit disappointed in the overall flavors in our orders. Would maybe try the smoothies and juices next time.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Low Fat, Fresh

Cons: No outside seating, Minimal flavor in lunch items

Yummy burgers & baked goods

I came for the almond burger and left with a bag of vegan baked goods! The almond patty is cold but so darn tasty. The coffee is french press and very good too. I took mine outside to eat with the sea otters. Great find in Morro Bay.

Delicious and thoughtful!

I had a really amazing butternut soup there and my friend's smoothie was super yummy too. They chose to make it vegan and gluten free to support people with allergies, and I so appreciate that!
They also carry some thoughtful and intentionally made goods, including these amazing vegan, gluten free, soy free mini donuts that blew my mind.
I'm happy they are here and looking forward to watching what they continue to expand into offering.

Pros: Vegan options, Gluten free options, Thoughtful and kind

Nice cafe near the water - vegan except for honey

Goddess Goods is a cute, bright cafe near the water. I enjoyed the basil hummus bagel and strawberry shake. The cranberry orange scone (I think it was made by Mrs. Teaberry) was totally outstanding - everything I want in a scone. They also sell some local, vegan and cruelty-free toiletries and beauty products. I was a little annoyed when the staff told us everything in the shop was 100% vegan and then I almost ordered something (one of several items) containing honey. You can say you think honey is ethical, but by definition it is not vegan. Insects have been classified as animals for millennia and anyway, if you research how much work it takes for bees to produce (they don't just collect honey for their young, they actually turn nectar into honey in their stomachs) honey, it's a no-brainer. Sorry for the rant.
