Such a beautiful little cafe to support! - Edit

Read moreDelish food made with love, super lovely staff and such awesome decor and dishes inside! The case is full of super unique sandwiches and classic sweets that are all vegan!! I’ve had the scrambled tofu baguette and the meatless baguette toasted - both were super tasty and awesome sizes. The vanilla slice and baked cheesecake are incredible!! I don’t drink coffee but my boyfriend says the coffee is really good as well (he gets oat milk). We have gotten into the habit of sharing a sandwich and a sweet treat from here. I would absolutely recommend!!
Pros: Lots of creative and delicious menu items, Staff are so lovely and helpful with requests, Really nice environment for dining in

Great toastie - Edit
Good offerings of toasties and baguettes. Looks to be a lot of cakes and a specials board. Relaxed vibe. I enjoyed. I'll be back to sample some more food

It was okay - Edit
Didn’t realise there was no actual menu and only what’s in the display cupboard (and there wasn’t a lot on offer today) but the toastie was okay. Maybe I should have tried something else. Coffee was yummy tho and 3 stars because it’s all vegan.

Such amazing sandwiches - Edit
Came here to study for a few hours. I ordered a soy latte (they don’t charge extra for plant milk!!!) and also got the tofu nori sandwich. The sandwich was 16aud which I thought was quite a lot initially but it was huge and there was so much going on inside, definitely worth it!!!
Read moreI gave 4 stars as I would say the options were kinda limited?? It looked a little bare and they ran out of savoury food at 1pm ish. Overall, amazing food though, their cakes looked amazing too. Lots of seating too!!
Pros: Creative sandwiches
Cons: No wifi

Got the mockball sub, it was pretty pretty pretty pretty good. Had a nibble of my friends' cakes 🍰 and they were good too! Nice atmosphere with lots of plants 🌱... Which is good because I wanna make more plant-based friends, as in, friends who ARE plants. #ijwtt #aloimaak

Glorious tarts - Edit
I’ve been to Gloria a handful of times now and I very much love the idea of it. The decor is cool and the owners friendly. There is a sense that a lot of work and thought goes into the way things look. On the last couple of visits I’ve tried the pão de queijo (I came especially for these because I haven’t seen vegan ones in Melbourne - yum!), as well as a pasta dish and a savoury tart. I have to say, the cafe seems to prioritise sweets over savoury offerings: there is a vast array of cakes and tarts in the cabinet, but relatively few meals. When we got there before midday on a Sunday recently, all the toasties had already gone, so we ordered the two available varieties of baguette. The meatball one was nice enough, but really needed a sauce, perhaps a tomato one or mayonnaise, to moisten it and enhance its flavour, which was largely chili. The scramble in the other baguette, while generally OK, had just a hint of bitterness. I shared an OK apple tart - like many pastries with a lot of fruit sometimes the pastry itself got a bit lost - after lunch and later I enjoyed a rich chocolate tart (there’s a lot of tarts at this place 😂) with coffee while catching up with an old friend. I love the ethos and style of this cafe - colourful, inclusive, social - but it seems to be more of a coffee-and-cake venue than a lunch spot.

Cons: Could offer more savoury options

Tasty af - Edit
Fully vegan food menu, with quiches, pies, cakes, brownies, slices, etc, and a Brazillian-inspired (vegan) meal of the day. I ordered a lemon chocolate brownie and iced soy latte. Both were very tasty! Free sparkling water on tap, and super quick service. Lovee all their savoury pies/tartes.

Friendly cafe with tasty food - Edit
Good vibes here. Great coffee and a simple menu to order from. A small pie (no side salad) and slice I ordered were really tasty but also quite pricey as I paid $23.50 total (the pie alone was $12!). Nice place for a treat.

Don’t miss the chocolate tart! - Edit
5/3/2022 I’ve been here a couple of times since my last review. We’ve been eating inside the cafe and both the food and coffee have been good. I’ve also really enjoyed the cakes. They are amazing.
Read moreWe came here to get some food to eat in a park during the lockdown. I got some empanadas and my partner had the bolognese sandwich. They were both nice and I really enjoyed my soy coffee. Nice and strong. We also had the chocolate tart. So creamy and tasty. Really lovely person serving. Will be coming back

like home - Edit
A cute, colourful, cozy, queer vegan cafe that I would definitely come to more often if I lived closer. Feels like home but with more delicious treats! The owners are delightful and funny. They make spot on coffee. Their savoury pastries, salads, and daily lunch specials look really yum but I’ve yet to try any. Can attest to the chocolate tart, raspberry tart, and cinnamon scrolls being absolutely delicious. They also support local artists with pop-up markets above the cafe. Lovely community vibes! #Veganuary
