Nice place to take a break from exploring - Edit
This place is a resort canteen. It's cozy inside and has a nice atmosphere. Also has some vegan options, something you would not expect beforehand. We had the vegan burger with fries/chips. It was nice but the portions were a bit small and it took some time preparing. Great to sit down and take a break from all the fun activities in the mountains.

Really tasty bean burger - Edit
My husband and I got ourselves bean and “beyon meat” type burgers. Bean burger was fantastic, not so much for the other one.

Pleasantly surprising amount of options - Edit
I was actually really pleased with the amount of options available to me here. They had plant based milks, vegan cheese, burgers, etc.

More plant based options than you might think - Edit
2 vegetarian dishes (Indian curry and a vegetable burger with beans) and a vegan burger (moving mountain). Had the burger: based on soy and vegetables. Had a meaty taste like the beyond burger. Fresh salad and tasty fries. Also had a soup of the day: lentil with carrots and celery.
Read moreWhen we asked for vegan breakfast options they had to look it up, but the chef was very kind and wanted to learn herself, so she looked it up and came to us with the packaging and showed us the ingredients on the smartphone so we could see for ourselves. We had a full breakfast with toast, plant butter, baked tomato, beans in tomato sauce, vegan sausage, no meat loaf and vegan hash brown. It was a very good.
So happy that there were more vegan options than we thought when we got there, as we had a day of rest from hiking the WHW and it's in a really desolate region.
Pros: Delicious vegan burger, Multiple breakfast options when asked, Very friendly staff
Cons: Not al options listed, have to ask for alergens, Only 1 vegan option atm for dinner

Vegan cake was lovely - Edit
Popped in here after a walk with a relative and had tea and cake. They had one vegan cake and it was a lovely chocolatey, smooth fudgey cake, was also gluten free as was on a nut/dried fruit base and was not sponge-type cake. THe savoury menu had a vegan burger.
Read moreThe cafe is very relaxed, lots of people who'd been out on big walks (it's on the West Highland Way), no doubt in winter is full of winter sports people too.
Pros: Vegan cake, Relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Serves meat
