I loved the homemade blackbean burger Spanish style! The Italian ones with the factors patty were good too. And so was the coleslaw. Unfortunately, the fryer was broken when we visited, so we couldn’ t order any fries.

Il n'y avait plus de pain burger sans gluten mais on nous a proposé une alternative sympa avec les galettes de pommes de terre.
Ajoutons à ça un accueil très chaleureux et une petite épicerie 🤩

The Portland Burgers concept was taken up by Glasgow Burgers, which opened in May 2024 following a crowdfunding campaign.

Each one has a different flavor.
I had the Glasgow with onion rings, whiskey sauce, and homemade black bean patty. Other options include Kokiriki brand steak and green cordon, and I added bacon for good measure.
The buns come from a local bakery.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bread and black bean patty were delicious, very easy to digest, and the whiskey sauce was exquisite.
There are five sauces to choose from: ketchup, mayo, BBQ, lemon chive, and tartar.
For dessert, there are homemade cookies and ice cream.
But that's not all, this restaurant also sells vegan groceries, including meat substitutes, vegetable omelets, vegetable salmon, B12, cheese substitutes, whipped cream, confectionery, and chocolate! There is also an information stand on veganism, well stocked with upcoming community events such as Vegan Place in Nantes.
All this with a zero-waste approach: we are brought a paper tray with the burger, fries, and cookie on it.
I appreciated the welcome and energy of the team on site, with Killian and his team giving me great advice on the burgers!
Beepers are a good idea, as they are at Season Square, to manage customer expectations and crowds.
In short, this is a must-visit address in Nantes for enjoying a delicious burger!

Tasty burger, soggy fries - Edit
I had a Buenos aires burger with a Kokiriki patty, and while it was tasty and juicy, the bun was so soft that it fell apart easily and was messy to eat. The fries weren't my favorite, a bit soggy little crumbs and the ketchup was very thin. The service was super friendly and I really appreciated finding a fully vegan place, but I feel like there is a bit room for improvement. All in all the burger was still tasty and I think it's worth a try!

We had a Portland Kokiriki burger and a Glasgow Kokiriki burgerwith 'bacon', with fries fromage fondue and fries with mayo and two drinks. Total 36,50€
The 'meaty' burgers were nice, but the breads fell apart so easily, so it was unhandy and messy to eat it. The fries very greasy.
It's a rather small place, and a bit shabby. Not accessible, step to get in, and steps to go to counter. Not a lot of room inside. Toilet is in neighbouring building upstairs accessed through spiraling stairs. Clean.
The bonus is they sell some vegan items like vegan cheese, salami, chocolate etc. Small shop. A nice addition!
