Best option in Wooster

Wooster Square is notoriously bad for vegans in New Haven, and I typically try to avoid eating in the area for this reason. However, after being invited for a conference dinner here, I was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very knowledgeable about veganism and attentive. The dinner was family style, and the chef went out of their way to veganize three appetizers (broccoli, potatoes, and beets) for me. They also recently added a new vegan dish, the napa cabbage and beans to the menu. For dessert, I had homemade chocolate sorbet. While nothing on the menu was labeled as vegan and options are limited, I really appreciate that at least one place in Wooster is trying to cater to vegans. All dishes were vegetable focused and super delicious. Just be sure to ask what their vegan options are and they will guide you!

Edit: Their menu also used to feature a vegan pizza which I was really excited to try out. Unfortunately they seem to have removed it from the menu. However, it didn’t have vegan cheese and was just loaded up with veggies so perhaps it is still possible for them to make it.
