The place is nice, the staff is super kind and it's in the centre of Trieste so it's easy to reach.

Tasteless pasta, low nutritional value - Edit
A promised pasta with pesto from sun dried tomatoes and walnuts tasted like vegetable broth - very bland.
Read moreAvocado and potatoe soup tasted well but was far from as filling portion as was promised by the waiter after enquiry.
Wrap with hummous, tasted also very boring.
Both soup and pasta had very low nutritional value. I gave constructive feedback after the meal and they became defensive and all of a sudden they stopped understanding English.

Such an amazing spot & a sweet little restaurant which has everything you could need - take away sandwiches & wraps, pastas, risotto, wine, coffee - I only wish I had enough time in Trieste to make my way through the entire menu!

Giardino Tergesteo was a bit hard to find, nested in an indoor galleria and lacking good signage. However, it is worth looking for it and finding it, especially since another venue we stopped at in Trieste could not do any item on the menu as vegan (nothing. at. all.).
Read moreThe place looks more like a bar than a place where to have food, and perhaps it is mostly a bar in the evening, but in our first visit we stopped for lunch (very busy! very popular and very appreciated) and had a dish each, which was nice.
The second time, however, all we could have was a sandwich, as we were a bit too late (maybe 2:30 or 3 pm) for lunch and they had nothing left. This second visit was a bit disappointing, but I guess that is because we were hoping on a similar meal than the day before rather than on a cold sandwich. Still, they were nicely presented and could cater to vegans which was a huge win in our books.
Seating space is very limited: tables are very close together, as they are popular and seat many people at lunch.

Cons: Hard to find, Lunch hours are pretty strict, Space is rather limited: tables close together

This place has a really nice owner, a little less nice waitress. We got (vegan!) croissants for free when we asked if they had food to throw away. Also their hot chocolate can be made with soy milk; delicious! and they have vegan cake, but that was not so good.. tasted quite chemical. They do have wifi. :)
