The beyond burger was among the best I've had, so juicy! Super nice and friendly staff who offered us free samples before we decided. Great place too in a scenic location (a bald eagle was literally circling above as we ate!). Totally worth sitting down to enjoy.
If you get the leading lady with fry sauce instead of the thousand island sauce, it's a fantastic vegan burger😄I haven't tried their beyond / impossible but they have a great veggie patty that's vegan! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Yeah there's a little bit of a wait but it's worth it. I come here every time I visit big bear! It's such a treat.
Not Vegan Friendly on the day we were there - Edit
First of all, learn to cook the beyond burger. It was served RAW to me. I could not eat it. It was gross. I pulled it out of the bun and wasn’t going to eat it but a friend at the table insisted on sending it back to be cooked. It took them over 30 minutes to return a fully cooked patty.
It was busy when we were there but we waited 90 minutes for food to be initially served. They charge a $3.50 up charge for the Beyond substitute. They “accidentally “ double charged us for each one. They corrected the mistake later after my husband caught the error on the bill while we were waiting.
Good, but not mind blowing. Get the Beyond Burger with no cheese and ask to replace the standard sauce with the vegan sauce. They said they are cooked separately from the beef burgers. We got 2 Producer burgers (double patties), 1 order of large fries and 2 small drinks and it cost $49. I did not see any meat products on the menu that would share a fryer with the fries. Style of fries were not my favorite type, I think they're battered, but that's subjective to your tastes. Another review on this app says they've confirmed the buns are vegan. Friendly staff who understand what vegan means. Good option as there's no vegan restaurants in town at this point in time.
First time here. They offer the Impossible Burger as a replacement burger. We ordered the Leading Lady which is grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and there secret sauce.. It was delicious and they have sweet potato fries as well. We will definitely be back.
Super friendly staff. They do now have vegan buns! It’s a pretty standard local burger joint. Short but sweet menu, you can substitute a beyond burger and their vegan ciabatta bun. All their fries are also apparently cooked in canola oil as well so that’s good! Burgers were great!
I actually think this place is awesome and used to go years ago before I went vegan. I'm really happy they added the beyond burger but they don't have vegan buns so protien style with only grilled onions was pretty bland. Vegan buns along with cheese and thousand would be dope. Fries are really good.
For the type of restaurant this establishment is, it’s very nice! They have the Beyond Burger as an additional cost. The bun has egg in it, so my husband and I had it protein style (ice berg lettuce wrapped).
I didn’t ask about the tater tots or onion rings so we got regular fries. They were very good.
The staff is very polite and answered all our questions. The special sauce has animal product in it, so they substituted with ketchup.
I’ve been to a lot of diners similar to this and they definitely put a lot of care into what they make. They asked how our food was, and were very accommodating.
