Beyond having an excellent vegan sandwich - We met the excellent owner. - Edit
Stopped in to this location to see what veg and vegan options they might have. Met the owner, Joe, who was more than happy to help out. While Joe said he could make his veggie sandwich vegan, he also mentioned that he happened to have some eggplants today for part of his dinner plans. Joe was nice enough to use one of his own eggplants and make us a special vegan sandwich, which was SUPER DELISH! This was just another reminder about the positivity that can come from not only choosing vegan/veg options, but being a positive ambassador and asking for vegan options. While Joe might not now create a permanent vegan eggplant option (he does have veggie options that can be made vegan), he was happy to accommodate our request, and now we will be repeat customers.
