Local ice cream shop located in Andersonville, established in 2009. Offerings include usually 4 vegan ice cream flavors and has vegan cones. Also offers vegan cupcakes from Sweet Cakes bakery. Also makes some food like panini and crepes. Open Mon-Fri 12:00pm-10:00pm, Sat 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.

Vegan scoop ice cream in a vegan waffle cone? Sign me up! - Edit
George's generally carries 3-4 flavors of vegan ice cream. My favorite is the butter pecan. They have a couple of different cone options. The pretzel cone is heavenly. The butter pecan ice cream in the pretzel cone provides a perfect combination of salt and sweet.
I find the ice cream to be very creamy and flavorful. This place is my go-to in Chicago.

Wisconsin Soy Ice Cream - Edit
I've actually had this in Madison Wisconsin, they ship it down, its a little chauky and artificial tasting for me, go for Chicago Soy Dairy Softserve at Chicago Health Foods instead! I recognized the cows on the labels after I ordered and then noticed the familiar "off" taste! to each his own, try this if you haven't before, maybe my expectations are too high

George's Ice Cream - Edit
George's is pretty awesome...especially since they carry 4 (rotating) vegan ice creams and vegan cupcakes. I've been here twice already and I will say that the vegan ice cream options are phenomenal -- the ice cream is made by a vendor in Milwaukee, WI. My favorite thus far is the butter pecan ice cream, highly recommended. Plus George's makes for a perfect dessert following a delicious vegan hot dog from Huey's Hot Dogs (just down the street).
