I kept going back.

I ate at this place several times during my stay. Their range of vegetarian food is large. Everything I ate was great. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff.

Good options for vegans

We went here 2 times and each time the food was nice and had good size portions. They had many options for vegans. I tried the bean curd, which I had for the first time. They made it so well I had to triple check to make sure it wasn't chicken! It made so good and different than anything I have had before.

Pros: good options for vegans, good food choics

Cons: a bit expensive for backpackers

Vegan rojak - finally! :)

We stopped by for a drink during a exhausting midday walk. I dunk watermelon juice which was soooo refreshing! And we saw many vegetarian options in the menu, so decided to come back after sightseeing, especially that I wanted to try rojak and everywhere else rojak is with oyster sauce.
So we took rojak, fresh veggie rolls and… omg they have tempeh! Everything was very tasty and rich in flavours, we loved it!
The place has nice vibe and is also good for sitting, sipping coffe or drink and watching life passing by.
Prices for above 8-12 rinngit each.

Nice atmosphe if you have time!

If you're looking for a nice restaurant for a sit down meal with time on your hands I would recommend Geographer Café.

The prices are reasonable (around 11RM) and the food has some great flavours on the menu, and they have a care about healthy living.

However, the service was very slow. We asked for a takeaway and waited 45 minutes for our food then after the 10 minute wait for the bill a further 15 minutes for our change. The portions are quite small (we do like a big meal though) and we were really in need of a veggie fix!

Despite this, there are so many vegan options on the menu and exciting flavours to not give it a try if you are not in a hurry, and the menu specifies if there is egg in the dish.

3& 1/2 stars for Geographer!

Pros: vegan options, no additives, no msg, good flavours

Cons: Slow service, small portions

Surprisingly Delicious

Ate at Geographer's Cafe as we were to exhausted to trek anywhere further. There were so many vegetarian options on the menu it was hard to choose. I had the Curry Ramen which was made using cashew nuts, walnuts and pine nuts to make the soup base rather than coconut milk making it really nutritious. It was spicy and delicious, made with organic brown rice noodles.
The atmosphere was good and the sour plum juice was so refreshing.

Pros: Location, Choice, Nutritious

Cons: More Expensive, Slow Service

Nice place

They have many vegetarian options on there menu, I appreciated. I had the Malacca Straits salad, but there wasn't enough to eat. The food tasted good, however.
They also have a huge choice of drink.
The service wasn't really good, maybe because it is crowded.

Pros: Nice place with great location, Tasty food, Good music

Cons: Bad service

Cool Cafe with Vegetarian Options

This cafe is a favourite hang out for people after a few hours shopping along the famous Jonker Street. The cafe serves nice food in a comfortable setting with options available for vegans & vegetarian. I tried a few of the noodle dishes, veg spring rolls & some of their juices on my 3 days while I was there!

Pros: Nice Food, Cool Atmosphere, Friendly Staff

Cons: Weekends packed
