Vegan Lasagne - Edit
A quiet and unassuming eatery in the basement of Havelock II. Staff was very courteous. The menu is quite small but is fully vegan (not many allium-free options). The menu mainly features local dishes; popular items are the lasagne and dumplings. There is also a blackboard menu with some daily specials. I would recommend the lasagne and almond brown rice milk! Hope the menu can be expanded and also hope the place can be spruced up a little; it looks kind of tired with dog-eared physical menus, paper tucked under wobbly chairs, etc. Few minutes' walk from Clarke Quay MRT and Chinatown MRT.

Great "fish" and incredible cheescake. - Edit
This is another vegan basement restaurant in Chinatown, although it is much quieter and more serene than the nearby SuManYuan, which is in a food court.
Read moreMAINS: Lemak Fish Rice was excellent, yummy satay sauce and the "fish" was spot on. My partner got the lasagna which comes with a side salad. It's a more healthy kind of lasagna, made with lentils. He said it was good as well as wholesome.
DESSERT: The cheesecake! OMG! I've had a lot of vegan cheesecakes and this was one of the best, especially considering it doesn't come with other flavourings, sauces or toppings. It doesn't need it, it is so good as it is. This is one of the few places that also sells vegan Magnums - great to grab one on your way out.
PRICE: Reasonably priced - 34.60 for two mains and two desserts.

Nice little place - Edit
I was glad to get a nice meal here. The bakuteh with rice tastes great and the housemade almond rice tea was also yummy! The owner seemed friendly and was kind enough to make my drink warm for me 😄

Modern little diner - Edit
Costs a bit more than the vegan Chinatown venues, but cheaper than across the river prices and has air conditioning. Nice black fungus (wood ear mushrooms) and a focus on healthier versions of some local dishes

Nice quiet vegan restaurant - Edit
I tried the claypot rice during my first visit. The rice was very fragrant and packed with flavors, yet felt very healthy. Had the vegan chicken rice for my second visit and was also very satisfied with the food quality. The brown rice was cooked just right and the tofu skin was delicious! Would love to try more of their dishes.

Nice and fine - Edit
You'll find the Genesis in the basement of the havelock2 building.
Read moreIt looks like a simple Restaurant but the food is very tasty. You order at the desk and pay immediatley.
I tried the dumplings and the lasagna. The dumplings were very nice. No idea what the filling could be. The lasagna came with a little side salad. The dressing of it taste not really like anything. But its ok.
I also tried the almond brown rice milk, this is a thick and delicious milk.
For dessert I had the vegan Magnum sea salt ice cream, that was very creamy and absolutely nice, that they offer it.

Absolutely delightful - Edit
Located inside the mall one level down from where google maps takes you, basement 1. Easy to find if you read the address properly. We got Laksa, dumplings, chicken and rice (made from yuba), and a chorizo which was from their specials. Cheap and tasty!

Really good vegan Asian food - Edit
Food was absolutely delicious! However, the portion seemed a bit small - although I ordered takeout so it might be different if you eat in. Chickn rice was flavorful but they could've given more sambal sauce.

Arrived at closing… - Edit
I arrived at about 8:20 and was told they closed at 8:30 instead of 9 so I felt really bad, but the staff told me I could still get food to go.
Read moreI started to order and he offered I could sit and eat. I ordered laksa and dou hua, the latter of which I ate there because they didn’t have it to go (already in a dish). I ate the dou hua while he made the laksa, which I took back to my hotel. Both were very tasty and enjoyable.

Healthy vegan food - Edit
Kudos on being a pure vegan restaurant! Portions were generous and the sambal was to die for. However, I do wish they offered more noodle options aside from thin beehoon.

Yummy Dumplings - Edit
A small cafe at the basement of Havelock2. Mostly local delights, not much choices for sharing.
Read moreLaksa and Nasi Lemak is ok, the Bak Kut Teh is disappointing as it didn’t come in claypot that it should be and not much ingredients, so didn’t take a picture. The dumplings are very nice.

Nasi Lemak & house-made sambal - Edit
a 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒗𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒏 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕, offering both Asian and Western cuisines. 🌸 Though they are not an alliums-free establishment, most of the dishes (90%) are alliums-free. In fact, only the western dishes contain alliums and not omittable. Asian dishes are all alliums-free, including chilli!😄 Remember to inform them of your dietary preference when placing an order, so that they will swap all the chilli to alliums-free version.

Genesis serves delicious vegan takes on local cuisine, including plenty of healthy fare (greens, brown rice, non-fried items). The nasi lemak is particularly recommendable, and the dumplings are good, too.

Good food and service - Edit
The menu clearly marks which items have garlic and onion. There are less choices for those who don't eat garlic and onion but the remaining choices are still good. I had olive rice and sushi. Both are great.

Solid Place With A Variety of Options. - Edit
If you're in Singapore, the food at Genesis is worth trying. The atmosphere is an intimate one, with warm-glow lighting, vibrant-colored chairs, and a smaller space for a restaurant-- this is the type of restaurant you'd want to hang out at, in the evenings / Friday nights. When I went during lunchtime hours, it was empty, and nice to enjoy the space all to myself!

nice - Edit
decent (not huge) selection of all vegan western food and also familiar Asian dishes. price is kinda mid range around $10 for most mains. tried the laksa which was pretty good & satisfying, with a meat substitute thats actually quite realistic compared to other ones I’ve tried. atmosphere is simple, cozy & cottage-y as it’s a small shop. they also sell a small selection of bread/pastries at the front. owners are friendly & can alter spice levels if you can’t handle very spicy food

Dumplings for sharing is a good idea too! I didn’t have the rest so can’t comment much hahahaa can only say they look decent!!! 😋
After the meal, I have bought cinnamon rolls pack for $10. It came in 4 and I had 2 muahaa. Love it and will buy again next time. Cinnamon taste is strong. A little sweet pastry but all good for me. Highly recommended to buy their cinnamon rolls home if you go there~
