Only fruit flavors

I think they used to be friendlier for vegans, but that's not exactly the case anymore. First of all, a staff member told me that the ice cream cone was vegan. I even double-checked asking if it had no milk, and she said it didn't. I ordered it and then proceeded to choose the flavors. It was a different staff member, so I asked her which flavors had no milk (there were no labels with this information). She pointed me to the fruit flavors and told me that actually the cone did have milk in it, since one of the ingredients was butter. She was kind enough to let me get a cup instead, and I chose blackberry and banana ice cream. They were good, but nothing too special. I was a bit disappointed with the whole experience, guess I had higher expectations. But it is still a decent option to get some water-based ice cream in Paraty.

Vegan ice cream in old town

Ice cream shop which had 4 ice cream options for vegans. Smallest cup came with 2 scoops which was plenty

Pros: 4 vegan options for ice cream, Knowledgeable staff, Big portions

Vegan goiaba ice cream and the dark chocolate one are amazing, Italian owners

Ice cream tasted very good, very friendly Italian owners that made me feel home
