Yummy - Edit
Went with a group and had a delicious breakfast! The coconut French toast was delicious (could have been more toasted though, was a little soggy), the garlic flat bread was great and dipped into the red lentil curry was definitely the hero of the dish! The couscous salad was lovely and refreshing, very light. The hummus had a great smokey flavour, however the sweet potato chips could have used a little more crisp (great vegan aoli though).
Read moreThe ladies were very nice, and the bathrooms and facilities were well done too! Only major let down wild be the pricing, more than happy to pay for the delicious foods but the portions are VERY small.
Pros: ALL VEGAN, Great food
Cons: Very expensive , Very small portions

Nice vibes good food - Edit
Enjoyed gecko republic, it was comfortable, stylish, had good music and tasty food.
Read moreWe both Had the tapas deal (3 tapas plus a flatbread for 200baht). Tried jungle hummus, babaganous, lentil red curry, cauliflower bites, sweet potato fries and bean salad. Everything tasted great and the portions were reasonable except the sweet potato which was a laughable stack of 5 chips!
For hungry people 3 tapas and a bread is filling. If you were popping in for lunch I think the cauliflower and bean salad would be enough. Tapas 60baht each when not in the deal.
Unfortunately they had very few drinks available and none alcoholic as they have just reopened after a year closed.
There was a dog and tiny adorable fluffy puppy. Both very cute but the dog was left to roam free and at one point climbed on our table and vomited on the cushions near us. Maybe keeping an eye on the dog or training him not to go on the tables where people eat might be beneficial...
All in all I would recommend as he food is very nice and obviously a well thought out tapas menu!
Pros: All vegan, Delicious tapas

exciting potential - Edit
Compared to the first time I visited the island 5 years ago, I’m happy to see so many more vegan options on Koh Tao, including this new, totally vegan cafe/ restaurant. We went for breakfast. I was a little surprised at the high prices, given that the the cafe is attached to a hostel. I can’t imagine that the menu is really affordable on a backpacker budget.
Read moreThere was no drink menu and when we asked, the waitress sauce they had coffee, tea, and water. I ordered coffee and the waitress said it would be about 30 minutes because they had just opened, even though we arrived at 9.30 and their advertised opening time is 8am.
Despite a couple of hiccups, breakfast was delicious. Others have mentioned the cheesy spinach flatbread with good reason! The mozzarella has a great stretch to it, the best vegan cheese on the island by far. The flatbread is a perfect pizza dough. We tried the French toast with caramelised banana as well and while it was a little soggy, the flavours were excellent with a hint of sweet, woody spice.
I’d like to go back and try the tapas menu for lunch or dinner but I admit that the prices put me off a bit, as well as the long wait times for food. I believe this place could be great and it’s only been open a few weeks so there’s plenty of room for improvement.
Pros: all vegan, great mozzarella , cute dogs
Cons: slow service , high prices , small portions

Great place but ... - Edit
We were sooo looking Forward to try this place. The good. New clean. Fresh. Friendly. Cozy Modern casual ambiance. Chilled. Vegan. Tasty. They’re trying to do tapas but the portions are really small. I know it’s tapas but for us to be full we would have had to spend 700 plus baht. Or almost $30. For lunch. Expensive by Thailand standards. My smoothie bowl was half the size of what I’ve been getting elsewhere. For the same price. Tasty but expensive. I give it a high rating because the food is good. It’s new so I’m sure adjustments will be made.

100% vegan - Edit
100% vegan delicious food. Looks like everything is made from scratch. Flatbread with spinach and 'mozzarella' is a winner, but sweet potato wedges and flatbread with garlic olive oil also highly recommend😄if you're a dog lover you will enjoy the company of these little beauties.
