Read moreWe shared the mushroom and potato starters along with garlic bread. My main was their famous ravioli and we forced a slightly odd crumble in too! I was so happy to see the menu, the food wasn't 5 stars but enjoyed the meal and experience.

My son and I had dinner last week and evrything was delicious and tasty. I had beetroot with coconut that goes with a vegan sauce and my son tofu with vegetables.

We went here for dinner on a Friday night after reading lots of good reviews about the vegan options - it definitely didn’t disappoint! I had the vegan garlic bread to start (which isn’t actually on the menu but if you ask for it then they’re more than happy to do it) and the vegan ravioli which came with a side salad which was nice enough, would recommend getting a side of chips with it though. For dessert I had the vegan brownie, incredibly yummy! Would deffo recommend and would go back here.

Bei Gavino gibt es traditionelles für Madeira typisches Brot mit veganer Knoblauchbutter , zum niederknien ! Es gibt 5 vegane Hauptgerichte und 4 vegane Desserts , man wird sofort gefragt ob man unverträglichkeiten hat und es die Menschen sind unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend.

This place isn't veggie but has a great vegan menu. The waiters are so attentive and fun, they make a lot of jokes. They even check first off if you are vegan or vegetarian. Get the vegan garlic bread. We were sat on a cute and lively square with music playing next door. Loved it !

Read moreI had mushrooms stuffed with leeks and spinach to begin (you could chose two ingredients from a number of choices) which were juicy and tasty. I followed this with the ravioli which had silky pasta and was enjoyable but could have done with being a bit more cheesy.
If I were in Madeira again I would definitely come back to try the other vegan options on their menu.

Amazing vegan options here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was travelling alone and they made me feel welcome and comfortable.

We spent my husband’s birthday here and it was an amazing experience. The waiter was fantastic, so friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. We had bread with vegan garlic butter and stuffed mushrooms as starters and both ordered the steak - he asked for fries instead of the couscous and I asked for my couscous to come without raisins. I probably wouldn’t order the steak again - it was a bit bland - but the overall experience was still worth it. For dessert, I had the vegan ice cream and he got a brownie, even with a candle and birthday song 😊

Wir fanden es so toll, dass wir innerhalb unseres 1 wöchigen Urlaubs 2x dort waren. Ich würde, trotz dass es nicht komplett vegan ist gerne 5 Sterne geben, denn das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet, die Atmosphäre war toll. Wir hatten zwei unglaublich nette und professionelle Kellner*innen. Service wird hier sehr groß geschrieben. Wir haben uns sehr gut umsorgt gefühlt. Das Essen war wunderschön angerichtet und es war wirklich lecker. Teilweise kann man sich Gerichte selbst zusammenstellen, was uns gut gefallen hat. Die Getränke waren auch sehr lecker. Und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war top!

We had a seitan steak (14e) and ravioli (16e), they even had a starter (garlic bread), all vegan and delicious, easily recognizable vegan options in the menu. Great friendly service and nice coctails. Cost us 50e in total. Would visit again.

Some „higher end“ restaurant in Funchal with quite cheap prices given the menu, presentation and hospitality. Staff was super nice. The tofu with grilled veggies (vegan) was very delicious. The sweet potatoe burger was presented very nicely but didn’t taste like much. The stuffed mushrooms (starter, vegetarian) were absolutely delicious.

Der Service war der beste den ich bisher in Funchal erlebt habe. Als erstes wurde gefragt, ob jemand vegetarisch oder vegan bestellen will und darauf hin wurden die Optionen angeboten. Es gab eine große Auswahl und es hat unglaublich lecker geschmeckt. Der Eingang der Restaurants liegt höher und wir sind fast im falschen Laden gelandet.

Multiple vegan options, very well labeled menu, very friendly staff. When I ordered the vegan ravioli the waiter asked if I would like garlic bread with vegan butter (who says no to garlic bread?) my ravioli was super tasty and the deserts were huge, vegan crumble was delicious.

Nice setting for evening meal. Ordered the vegan ravioli and enjoyed it. Crumble dessert was smoked and presented well. Tasted great. The brownie was huge and my daughter couldn't finish it even though she tried her best as she loved it.

Centrally located restaurant with several vegan options. The service was good and the portions were relatively large for restaurants on the island. The food could be a bit more flavorful though. The Seitan steak, for example, was relatively basic.
