Cafe attached to Gauri Shankar Guest House. Breakfast until 12pm then snacks, soup and cakes. Try the Nepali national dish, dal bhaat takali, which must be ordered by 5pm to eat between 7-9pm. Library and a quaint garden to sit in are available. Directions: Go down the street near Gauri Ghat that is across from the Ghat; restaurant is on Shivamandir street, next to City Inn Hotel. Open Sun 7:00am-9:00pm.

Disappointing

Went for lunch. Very unfriendly. Said offered nothing but cakes and coffee. Asked about dinner, but was clear we weren't wanted. Garden was lovely
