Dinner for two last night. What a great selection. I had the aubergine lasagna and my wife had the pad Thai. Both were full of flavour. I got a desert too. Not often you can get a good (not ice cream) vegan desert.

Traditional Slovenian dishes - Edit
A lovely vegan restaurant with a big menu, including Slovenian dishes which was great to try. We ordered the traditional Slovenian 3 course set menu, which came with a barley stew, ribs with roasted vegetables, and a tarragon cake. The stew was tasty and the ribs were a very convincing meat substitute with a tasty sauce. Filling portions and a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy, we luckily managed to get the last available table so I’d recommend making a reservation.

Read moreThe guy serving us (sorry, I didn't ask your name!) was very helpful, friendly and was able to explain the dishes to us in English.
The food was delicious - our two non- vegan friends were also very impressed.
I forgot to take a photo of my plate, the tortellini, which was delicious. Our meat eater friend had the beyond burger, and my husband had the "Gorenjska sausage", sauerkraut and mashed potatoes with homemade mayonnaise followed by the dark chocolate tart with mango sauce and ice cream. *Very* tasty.
Good food, delicious Slovenian wine, and a reasonable price. All in all a very enjoyable night.

We had a lovely evening at Gaudi & Naan. We went at 6pm on a Friday that was a national holiday having made a booking but there was no-one else there when we arrived. It got really busy as the night went on so would still recommend booking. We had the 6 course tasting menu (€65/pp) and 4 glass wine tasting (€24/pp). It was all delicious and a great experience. Treat yourself!

But Had As starter the Bell peppers stuffed with homemade cashew cheese which was lovely And then the speciál Slovenian Dessert. We had a lovely experience. We ordered the six course tasting menu. The food was amazing quality, and the service was very friendly. They took the time to explain the dishes, telling us about local specialties and seasonal food.

We choosed 2 different types of tasting menu: Traditional and 4 course modern
Well prepared and well fine in seasoning. Traditional menu was not overwhelming but very comfy, but for sure tasty.
Service is fast and friendly - can be crowded at times, but we had luck, with walk in during weekday in the evening.
A total recommendation for Ljubljana to veganized traditional dishes. But a little bit on the pricy side. Value for money still ok i would say.

A Real Treat - Edit
After struggling with vegan options in Italy, to dine at a fully vegan restaurant was a real treat. Compared to many other restaurants, Gaudi&Naan did feel expensive but I had no problem with this given the quality of the food, the selection on the menu and just the overall experience. I would not say it feels overpriced, it's just expensive by comparison to other restaurants nearby. We made a reservation as this was recommended, though on arrival it was very quiet so this probably wasn't necessary (on a Thursday evening). Option to sit indoors or outdoors, and located in a quiet courtyard right within the centre of the city. A couple besides us had not realised the restaurant was vegan but stayed anyway to try some of the tasting courses and wine pairings, and the staff were very conversational with them regarding what they liked and didn't like from the tasting selection. Overall, id say Gaudi&Naan is well worth treating yourself to.

Read moreThe curry was well balanced with a spicy chickpea curry, basmati rice (with a slice of lime to add sourness) and a fresh and creamy raita. The mango lassi topped it off with its sweet, soothing taste.
The chocolate tart was great! It had a great, fudgy consistency with deep chocolate flavour. The mango ice cream was probably made of pure fresh mango.
It was very busy, evening a Monday outside of holiday times. Reservations are recommended.
