2 unfortunate issues - Edit

2 major issues ordinary costumers should have in mind:
1- belligerent line-cutting by what seems local shoppers from
the area who likely know where line's formed (anyway: there's
a clear sign that's OFTEN ignored, usually by a mouthy UWS
lady [in all cases I witnessed. not being sexist at all]). the unacceptable conduct happens time and again; I can say I witnessed line-cutting and was subjected to it myself (when finally first in line...)minimally 5 times in the past 3 months. besides a sufficient british accented cashier who always address the 'cutters' and directs them to the line (AS IF they didn't know), all the other workers serve these belligerent people and clearly refuse to elaborate when addressed during another 'cutting event'...
2- prices: by 25 - 30% more expensive then nearby organic mrkts

Solid Health Food Store - Edit

Their selection is not huge but it is fairly good stuff. Some of the prices are horrible. I never buy fruit there because they are priced too high. The bulk items (mostly nuts and grains) actually are some of the best prices in town. They have fresh; custom smoothies that you can order that are pretty good. I do like the fact that most of what they have is organic and they have items you can't find anywhere else in town (like buckwheat flour.) They clearly mark what is vegan or not. Some problems are that the frozen food selection is very limited, the popcorn has made me sick in the past, and sometimes they have a video of Gary Null taking about how AIDS is caused by processed foods or something. Personally, it creeps me out but maybe you agree with him.

Pros: Good smoothies, Unique items, Lots of organic

Cons: Expensive, Wierd Video, Bad Popcorn

Excellent Organic Food Selection - Edit

This organic food market has a wide variety of delicious all-organic food. Unlike other neighborhood markets claiming to be healthy or organic, Gary Null's Uptown Whole Foods is the real thing, stocked only with healthy, organic selections. Everything in the store is healthy and good to eat, so you don't have to spend time sorting the wholesome organic foods from the agrifarm GMO pesticide laced products. It also has a fun vibrant atmosphere for shopping. The only place to get your organic food on the Upper West Side. Good prices, too.

Pros: Organic, Wide Selection, Friendly
